I'm not sure how long, but around that range because of Upper Bukit Timah that is why I estimated longer.

Bukit Timah eh? Depends whether teh bus lambat or nt luh..
When bus lambat at Orchard it will induce great crowds into the bus. Most of these ppl will alight at Bukit Timah/Panjang areas, increasing the trip time along Bukit Timah. However, when there are no special events and the bus runs on schedule, less crowds will board the bus. Noticed that BCs can skip multiple bus stops and chiong along Bukit Timah sector within these conditions. SHIOK! ![]()

if i'm not wrong, 171 should be faster la, by right. 75 goes via Clementi Rd, Ulu Pandan Road, Holland Road, Napier Road and still have to go to Outram n the Raffles area before heading to Marina Centre. 171 goes by Dunearn Rd, Scotts Road, Orchard Road, and there u are at Marina Centre.

187 off-peak. If you take it from WRI confirm got seats de. However, some people still prefer to stand despite empty seats being spotted.

Does anyone know how does the sbst k230 ride height control exactly works? I understand its possible to kneel or raise the bus based on different situation such as exiting boon lay temp int, entering some parking bays or high road humps.
However, what exactly will make the bus re-level itself to normal ride height? I've heard that driving below 40km/h will maintain the ride height, but above will reset it. Anyone can confirm? What about switching off the engine for prolonged period?

I don't think driving above 40km/h will raise the bus. It seems that driving off from the bus-bay is enough to make the bus start pumping air slowly into the system to raise the suspension system. The bus also adjusts its tilt after a turn when it stops.
Anyway, a little trivia, the B10M MKIV DM3500 can adjust its ground clearance as well.![]()

true, the suspension system will go back to it's original position slowly for a short while after it has been raised. Speed is not the factor.
what are the current bus stop stands made of?
What are the dimensions of a typical SBS bus door?

Erm, i see, what about if it was raised upwards as for situations like kubs entering bus park at places like tamp int (it will mount the grass/kerb without lifting up the bus)? When does it automatically recover from the "high lift" mode? Thanks all for the replies thou =).

Bus stop stands? Do you mean bus stop Poles or bus stop Shelter?
Looking at the PTC Annual Report 08/09 -
There is this new service 117 to be introduced between HougangCtr and Bt Batok Interchange. Is SBST still introducing this service anymore? It is not listed as approval lapsed in the annual report.
Another Premium Service 562 suppose to be introduce in Bt Panjang Ring Rd to Orchard/Suntec, it was included in the approval lapsed list, so this is definitely not going to intro anymore.
