Just wanna ask,
wad does "DEADH*" means on ONP duty's timesheet?
Thanks.
By then, I only see some Scania K230UBs, but I only see 6 of them:
Where's another one?
Hi Guys,
I'm a UK enthusiast visiting Singapore at the end of November for a couple of days (after spending 12 days in Hong Kong) and would like some advice about best locations for spotting and photography. I have a rough idea that the Interchanges are quite busy and I would certainly like to get the new Wrightbus vehicles.
is 2784J refurbed?
A few question to ask.
1)Does it make sense for SMRT AMDEP to start from Shenton Way Terminal for service like 106 & 970?Al so for Marina Ctr for 75 & 960?
2)Can you compared the distance for KJ/WL/AM to Marina Ctr & Shenton Way terminals respectively?
Saw a OC500LE 2 days ago servicing sv858. Since when did sv858 got OC500LEs operating on because I always see O405s instead.

Hi Duncan
The current WrightBus are on Service 185 and 60. None of the two services ply the city area. You may visit http://publictransport.sg/ for a detailed route of the 2 services. In addition, the buses operate during weekday peak hours only.
There are not many places this season in the city area that is suitable for photography. One hotspot is Orchard Rd (YMCA) bus stop near Dhoby Ghaut MRT Stn in the afternoons. Most bus models in Singapore ply this stretch of road and traffic is relatively light. In addition there would be alot of bus advertisements for you to capture while camping.

Dead head. This term isnt restricted to ONP duties but also to other duties.
Its essentially off service to a certain place where the place (the 5 digit terminal/bus stop code) is found after DEADH.
eg.
DEADH 52009 1806
Only cng timesheets is listed cng instead of the bus stop code during dead head.

Board in SG, pay in S$
Board in JB, pay in RM
And it's 1980s rate, S$1 = RM1

E.g.
170X - 960 - LRT/ Fajar @ Bt Panjang
$1.09 + $0.28 + $0.08 = $1.45
By CW1: $0.38 (RM0.90) + $1.01 + $0.20 = $1.59
Alt: 170 - Upp Bt Timah Rd/ Blk 185A, walk to LRT Stn
$1.37 + $0.12 = $1.49
By CW1 - 170/ 178/ 961 - LRT: $0.38 + $1.01 + $0.20 = $1.59
170X - 960 @ Pending
$1.09 + $0.32 = $1.41
By CW1: $0.38 + $1.15 = $1.53
In fact for taking 160 purely, Ten Mile Junction is the cut off bus stop where any CW1 - local bus connection will cost you more from JB CIQ.
Hi all, can the buses of 160 and 170 to change their destos in the checkpoints, i.e. from red plate 170 to blue plate 170?
Hi, know why is that all the new KUB Euro V buses with SBS 856x to even the now SBS 52xx quite a number of their side rear view mirrors (either left or right or both sides) have been changed to those that were taken from the old buses that were scrapped? Is it bcos their actual ones which is the big one are spoilt or wat? Cos esp for those SBS 50xx to 52xx are all the latest one that just came in and straight away their mirrors are being swapped??? Can someone enlighten me about this?
Many Thanks. :)

At least one mirror on a 52xx was damaged during yog period when the vehicle was used for internal shuttle.

well.. why not..
but 160 is strictly 160. mutually exclusive from 170.
Recently I saw most of the SBST buses having a pair of metal wirings tied to the screws of all their rims.
May I know what is the purpose of these wirings??? ![]()
Anyone confirm SBS7338G status...
The sticker states sv21 but it seems like running as spare
SBS7331A howver has the correct SPARE sticker
ACx

If I'm not wrong, they are rim guards...

Not the piece of circular metal, but the wiring around the nuts.
To SBS1000U: The metal wirings are a safety feature that prevent the nuts from becoming loose.
