What does 'Invalid Card E1' means when tapping out at the exit reader?
I took SMB117H on service 176 just now. Tap in at Bukit Merah interchange, the entry reader shown 'TRF...' something like this, entry is OK. When I tap out at West Coast, the exit reader shown an error 'INVALID CARD E1' and did not reduct the correct fare. Didn't went to ask the driver as the bus was crowded.
During the journey, I suspected the driver reset the system because I heard a continuous beep 5 times, it is the sound you will hear when a bus terminates at an interchange or terminal.
What is the reason for this to happen? Is it possible to get a refund in this case?

Was it a higher-pitched sound, like when someone forgot to tap at the entrance when they alight? If it's lower pitched, probably reset.Just tap your card at the entrance, then tap again(I think).Happened before on 852.

During the journey, I heard a low pitch continuous beep 5 times, it seems the driver reset. When I alighted and tap, it was the high pitch like someone didn't tap properly or didn't tap on entry.
I have filed a claim.

Is SBS8228J the only KUB that has it inside bus-lights not modified with the small metal strip? If it is, then why isn't it modified?
And also, is the air-con outlet below the windscreen on SMRT Mercedes O405 (TIB 5XX) original or newly added? I saw it when I am taking the Tampines Retail Park Shuttle.

Thanks SBS 7485P... Very difficult to keep track since SGwiki is not updated.... Now I got my own list of selected buses... What I need next is Spare buses... Haiz... so difficult to keep track..
I want to ask why is the Mobitec EDS (new) has only the front font programmed to the LAWO font and not including the side (and rear for bendies). I find it very awkward to see the EDS at the front BOLD and LAWO font but the sides is thin and dunno wat font which makes it very hard for us to see the numbers if we come from behind.
Also, that some buses has their side (and rear for bendies) the number keep flashing on and off which is quite distracting as commuters does not knw what service is it.
Is smrt able to rectify all these problems for the mobitec?

For the side (and for bendies, rear too) Mobitec EDSes, it is because of the space of the EDS, not big enough to program the font.
And for the flashing problem, it is a technical error that happens once in a while.

why is the old wheelchair bus uses stairs to go up the seats ?? Its dangerous i fell before !

There is no old wheelchair bus here. As for your problem, the bus was a LE (low-entry) bus. The boarding and alighting was made easier by decreasing the height of front part of the bus.
