It looks like a Blue Bird School Bus from US have been converted into a private bus.
I went to one motoring for information, but no record could be found for that bus, so if anyone knows who the bus belongs to or where it is now or the model of the bus and its history in S'pore, please help.
this bus is based in Sembawang. However the bus can be regularly seen at Yishun MRT.
This is not the usual regular private bus you see on the roads.

There are 2 batches for each emission standard, Euro 4 and Euro 5. Most of us do not like it because of the bodywork and the vibration and some do think the bus is underpowered. But those KUBs are in better condition for some now. Even the Euro 5 Batch 2 KUBs are vibrating like they are in service of alot of years when they are just around 1 year old.

Because they see the "230" and "Gemilang".
And because "1100".

As for underpowered, that's rather untrue. If it is as underpowered as claimed, it won't be able to move around with a very low rpm in the 1000 region. You would be getting something like the VO3X which goes around in the region of 1500-1800.
And btw. EEV emission is not interchangeable with Euro 5. They dont mean the same things! Our Batch 2 K230UBs are EEV emission compliant.

Looks like it.
It would even appear that the type is already "retired".....from everywhere except the West.
I miss 74's VO2X......last of the cross-country NAC with 93.
the EDSes on the euro 5 are much better imho..
Your should try taking 179, 199 in NTU or 95 or 151 in NUS to get a feel how powerful they can be taking the slopes. ![]()

Anyone who wants to complain vibrations should either try the Hino volgrens, the CDGE Osims or for more funky vibrations, the MKIVs with their sideway slow shaking vibrations.![]()
