Hi all, is it possible to own a bus and convert the interior into an alternative setting and use it for commerical purposes? E.g. the interior is converted into a library setting with book shelves and seats or into a billard room with billard table and bar counter etc. If so, where can I get such a bus? Contact manufacturer or contact SBS/TIBS to see if they sell away their old buses? Also, what license or which department will I have to apply to? Many thanks!! :)

Yes, its possible and there are past examples of this (search for epBus & molly bus).
However, do take note of the statutory maximum lifespan of commercial vehicles here is 20 years while the public buses has a max of 19years on the road so you'll only have a few years to do things with it. Of course if u own some land somewhere to permanently park it, this rule wont apply.
If you are intending to drive it on the roads, then it will be considered a class 5 vehicle. You can check out the requirements of such a vehicle on lta's website or one motoring.
Otherwise if its just to be permanently parked, a vehicular license is not required as it is just a structure on your own property.
You may wish to contact sbst/smrt to see if they have any older buses to let go.

Oh, and im quite sure you wont be able to fit a billard table into it.
Pool table probably still might fit.

Comparing the standard flat piece side mirrors for all buses to the Euro V "big box" side mirrors, which is better?

Last time oso got a few three-five-hundreds with their interior converted into a full-out relaxation bar by Nokia.

Nw i am wondering..
R those new mirrors being put on the CDGE B9TLs and euro 4 kubs now totally new mirrors or the previously used euro 5 kub mirrors??Cuz most of the euro 5 kubs i saw recently r still using their big mirrors and have not changed to the old flat one yet. -

Nissan UD - Pre-Euro
Leyland Olympian - Euro 1
B10M MK3 - Pre-Euro
Dennis Dart - Pre-Euro
Note: Pre-Euro engines does not mean it produces more waste gases, it's just that the engine was designed before the euro standard was implemented and did not go thru certification. Also, the UD has japanese emission standards instead of european.

And there is a P-shift (This bus will do PM only), Which some services practices, Like 969 and 980 if I am not wrong.
969 should still be practicing P-shift, 980 I have to check. 960 does practice P-shift.
