Thanks alot. I took it today and it was a great ride. The exact departure time was 2.42 PM for those who want to know. Also, I have seen PC194T (Ex-SMRT Yutong Demo) at the Bedok Stn bus stop (Bus stop no. 84031) at around 6.15 PM and SBS9810X shortly afterwards.
It always appears at HG Sports Complex towards Bedok at around 6 30PM...can do the maths to see what time it leaves AMK.
Love this K310UD, its like the K230UB minus the poor weight balance which makes it a very nice bus to ride on.

Yes. Too bad I didn't have the time to go out and take this bus...hope that SBS Transit may bring in more K310UDs in the future.

Sadly, thats not possible anymore... K310UDs are not in production anymore.

According to Scania, the KUD is still in production...

really? though i heard someone that K310UD no longer in production... i rmb is in some thread here, or facebook grp...
The KUD can climb the Kembangan slope in 6th gear.
The B9TL can't.
Conclusion: SBST should consider this type seriously.![]()

Kembangan slope is scary. I hate cycling up that long and steep slope, but it offers the fastest way to Pasir Ris from East Coast.
Probably the most scary after Seletar Hills and Mandai Hills.![]()
wonder if TIB436J to TIB441T are under refurbished what bus replace them?

theres steep slopes at seletar hills?
kembangan one and the one leading to kent ridge park at south buona vista are the steepest i think?

I hope SBS Transit may bring in 200-300 K310UDs in the future to replace the batch 2 and 3 VO3X.

Can the Tridents do it?
They have pretty good horse-power.

Heard from other people that Scania Double Decks and Trucks are the best in climbing hills :D

Sadly I'm not interested in the horse-power when the Tridents are almost like the Lances.
Its the same reason why the Citaros can look good and probably offer more power but is still not as good as the K230UB in my opinion. It's less to do with the bus per se than how a ride can offer as a package.
At the moment I still can't decide if I prefer the Wright B9TL or the K310UD. They are very both very comfortable buses to ride on!

The Yio Chu Kang Rd is a long killer stretch. Its slopes are long and steep from Serangoon Gardens till the SLE exit before AMK. Steepness by itself is not the biggest problem, its the length of the slopes as well.
Having cycled through that stretch I can only tell you that it was one of very rare occasions where I welcomed the sudden rain at that moment because it gave me an excuse to stop at the bus-stop and cool my legs off.![]()

Alittle late, but 7331A is now perm 12, swapped with 7337J. Posted elsewhere alr, but not sure if you've seen it, so reposting the info again.
9518R is still SP, it was just a cameo replacing the various B9TLs & KUBs which went for maintenance lately. 8530K is back on 12 today.![]()
