looking at e diff, e staging method actually benefits long distance travellers. lol
From Trellis Twr to Macpherson Rd/ POSB is 3.1km.
Return journey is 4km.
Sv 151e from Jln Toa Payoh -> Hougang Ave 3 is 0.2km 'shorter' than Sv 151.
Sv 75 to Bt Panjang Int/ LRT Stop -> Bt Panjang Int/ Alighting Bay is 0.1km
Finally Sv 75's distance is reflected shorter than 184.

macpherson > upp paya lebar road > bartely road east > hg ave 3?
but eh does 151e uses that route?

it's a longer route in fact
gothere.sg has updated its software to calculate DBTF's, but any calculations involving NEL and CCL is not accurate, and they don't offer the option to travel by express buses at all. already wrote to them.
eh, anyone seen the new bus service board at the bus stop with the new bus fare table? there is some at tampines.
Well
I have called MOT /LTA who said PTC is the OIC and directed me to PTC whom i called and asked me to write in for them to investigate...
i juz wondering citizens of red dot are taking it lying down that short distance routes will result in paying more?!

ok.. From what I know is that the basis is because those ppl who transfer will benefit. Although yeah those taking svs like 40, 155 especially or Express svs currently would be at disadvantage.

Bro to correct your perception...
even normal users of sv196,sv62 will NOT benefit...
Short distance PAYS MORE!
sv196 , blk72[MP Road] > Mountbatten Rd[mountbatten Sq] present 0.69
After 0.81!
a WHOPPING increase OF 0.12 PER TRIP!

Many of these are borderline cases, long dist travellers are the worst hit.
In any case, your case happens to be within e current 1st and 2nd fare band frame, so the middle fare band increment is 10c (1st fare band up 2c).

especially 254 and 257. Should not have any caps i guess.
Do you know???
Currently, the distance between Parkway Parade and Opposite Parkway Parade is 1 stage = 800m.... It will be increased to 1.1 km with distance based fares. An extra of 0.3km.
The distance between Petir Road (Blk 202) bus stop, currently with 25.5 stages (20.4km) to Parkway Parade, will also see an increase to 21.4km, an extra of 1 km.
Fares will therefore increase from $1.50 to $1.70. A 20 cent increase, or 13.3% increase. Got a shock when I saw this at the bus stop.
LTA launches new Distance Fares Calculator
SINGAPORE: Commuters can go online to check their fares before Distance Fares kicks in from July 3.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will launch the new Distance
Fares Calculator on the PublicTransport@SG portal Wednesday to help
commuters calculate their exact fares.
With fares shown against each journey option, commuters can then choose
one that best suits their transport needs.
LTA says distance-related fared will bring about a more integrated fare
structure where fares are calculated on the total distance travelled in a
single journey.
It will also allow commuters greater flexibility in their travel
choices.
Commuters do not pay more if they choose to make transfers during that
journey.
Journeys with transfers cost more as commuters need to pay a transfer
penalty.
LTA will launch a series of road shows at selected bus interchanges and
MRT stations with high commuter traffic to help commuters be more
familiar with the new calculator as well as Distance Fares. - CNA/jy
I have already emailed to MOT,LTA, PTC and mypaper about the anomalies on bus distances...
HOPEFULLY, they will bother to reply...
