Most of TIBS' fleet are installed with turbo charged engines. The earliest are the Mercedes Benz O405 buses.
I think some of the double decks should have a more powerful engine with exception of Volvo Super Olympian. Its powerful enough.
The following buses have turbos:
Volvo B10M Mk II-IV (SBST)
Volvo B10M SE, 14.5m (SBST)
Volvo B10BLE (SBST)
Volvo B10BLE CNG (SBST)
Volvo Olympian, 2 and 3 axles
Volvo Super Olympian/B10TL
Leyland Olympian, 2 and 3 axles
Scania N113CRB (SBST)
Scania L113CRL (TIBS and SBS Leisure)
Scania L113CRB (TIBS)
Scania L94UB (SBST)
DAF SB220 (TIBS, CSS)
Mercedes O.405G (TIBS, SBST)
The O.405s of any operator have NOT got a turbo fitted, it is the different gearbox which leads to the differences in performance between the SBST and TIBS O.405s, as well as differences in maintenance levels.
I'm not sure of which UD or Hino chassii have turbos and which are naturally aspirated.
Hope this helps.
