Here are my favourite single deck buses....Originally posted by SBS9816E:Hey folks! What are your favourite single deck buses?
For me, my favourite buses are:
SBST:
Volvo Mark 2 (Powerful old horses), Volvo Mark 4 Strider, DM 3500, Scania 35XX-37XX, MB O405 (DM, WA), Volvo B10BLE, Scania L94UB (Haven't board it)
TIBS:
MB0405, MB0405G Volgren, MB O405G Habit, MB O405 Volgren, Scania ELBO (2 a certain extent)
Wah ha! Volvo B57 is my fav while I was young. I really love this old horse. OF 1417 is rather noisy when it's decelerating.Originally posted by Windy_hates_B10TLs:Here are my favourite single deck buses....

No , those are mark 3 buses . They are now scattered around Hougang and Tampines area .Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:What happened to the SBS Volvo Sentosa coaches? Are those Mk4s?
Scattered there as public bus?Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:No , those are mark 3 buses . They are now scattered around Hougang and Tampines area .
I see. But how abt the present ones? I think they are Mark 4s.Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:What happened to the SBS Volvo Sentosa coaches? Are those Mk4s?
If you haven't been to Sentosa recently, SDC has changed a different bus provider...Originally posted by SBS9816E:I see. But how abt the present ones? I think they are Mark 4s.

If you are talking about the ones with digital destination board, I think they are MK4.Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:What happened to the SBS Volvo Sentosa coaches? Are those Mk4s?
The ex-Sentosa Volvos are Mark 4s, note that the radiator is now placed on the nearside. However, I agree with Charles saying that some Mark 4 Volvos with DM body do sound like a Mark 3 Volvo, particularly with regos SBS89X.Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:What happened to the SBS Volvo Sentosa coaches? what bus is that? Nissans?Originally posted by tranquilice:I like the SBST single deck Scania buses, but too bad, they are mainly deployed in the east region.
If you have take SBST 15 a few years back, some of the buses are very old type (SBS 000X to 003X ?). This type of buses is seen most on the PREVIOUS service 3 (Bedok to Jurong East, I think withdrawn in 1991).
I am not that sure. The type is very old, similiar to the current CSS fleet, with a sliding exit door.Originally posted by oliver_yuen87:what bus is that? Nissans?
