When services 168 and 969 first started out in April (14th and 15th respectively) 2001, Pasir Ris residents did complain that they are seeing new services passing by their corridors, but not to Pasir Ris Town itself. Scania ELBO: too low in front, too high at the back.

Some examples of new bus routes I would like to see when the NEL starts operation:
a. 97 (Jurong East to Serangoon Rd route) & 23 to merge.
b. 65 (Tampines to Orchard route) & 111 (Ghim Moh to Orchard route) to merge.
c. 502 (Boon Lay to Orchard route) & 518 to merge.
d. 80 to shorten its route since it duplicates with 145 from Lavender MRT to HarbourFront MRT. -

65 and 111 too . Both buses served orchard from neighbourhood estates , you cant see that happening .
502 and 518 is a definate out of question .
Both buses goes very different bus routes . I take 518 !! and i will be real pissed off if they do merged because that will inconvience me and the folks in Pasir ris and Tampines . -

Svc 97 route from Jurong East to the junction of Serangoon Rd/MacPherson Rd/PIE remains the same, there-after it will follow Svc 23 route to Tampines, and vice-versa.
Svc 65 route (no change) from Tampines to Orchard Boulevard, there-after follow Svc 111 route to Ghim Moh, and vice-versa.
502 and 518 to become one express service with slight route change. The new route is via Boon Lay, Jurong West Ave 1, Jurong East Ave 1, Clementi Town, Ulu Pandan Rd, Holland Rd, Napier Rd, Orchard Rd, Bras Basah Rd, Temasek Boulevard, Temasek Ave, ECP, Bedok South Ave 1, Bedok South Rd, New Upp Changi Rd (Bedok MRT), Bedok North Ave 3, Bedok Reservoir Rd, Tampines Ave 1, Ave 5, Ave 4 (MRT), Ave 7, Loyang Ave, Pasir Ris Drive 1, Drive 6, Drive 3 & Interchange, then vice-versa. -

I hope there would be a service 888. I frequent both Sengkang and Bishan. But it duplicates 965 at the Yishun part. If it goes like this, i'll be happy:
CCK -> Bt. Panjang (where i live!!) -> BKE -> PIE -> Lornie Rd -> BISHAN (where i go for third language) -> 156 route to Sengkang (via Ang Mo Kio, Yio Chu Kang)
Going by PIE via Lornie, Bishan and Ang Mo Kio is also fast. After Bishan, 156 is quite fast. Or maybe they should extend 965 to Bt. Panjang. -
No , those routes cannot happen and I dont want that to happen and besides the load factor of the current routes are just fine , there is no need a change to it .
