Integration Svcs, Introduction of New Svcs, Withdrawn Svcs

Hey pple. For this topic, we will look back to some services that have been integrated, withdrawn or introduced.
Backdated to 1993, Serangoon Bus Interchange has Svc 72 n Svc 312. If I am not wrong, Svc 312 travelled from S'goon Bus Interchange n looped at S'goon Ave 3. If I am not wrong, it was withdrawn at the middle of the yr 1993. Svc 72 was withdrawn at 1992, if I am not wrong. It served b/w Serangoon Int and Tanhong Rhu (loop). It was taken over by Svc 158. Svc 104 (S'goon - New Bridge Rd) was withdrawn by then.
On Yr 1998, Svc 72 was extended from its existing route (YCK to AMK Ave 5) to YCK to Tampines.
On 12/12/1999, Service 864, 865, and 866 were renumbered. Svc 864 was integrated with Svc 84 and renumbered as Svc 80. 865 and 866 were renumbered as 85 and 86 respectively.

Renumbering of services 160 and 181
Tibs services 160 and 181 were renumbered to 980 and 961 respectively and were both extended to Geylang Lor 1.
Renumbering of service 59
Tibs service 59 was extended to Sengkang East Way, at the same time renumbered to 866. It was later to become service 86, when SBS Transit took over Sengkang Town. -
bus 36 route was introduced and 16E was withdraw and bus 16 route is admended from Marine Parade to Bukit merah , bus 36 Changi airport to orchard loop and 31 route extension to Toa Payoh with bus 149 withdraw . I cant remember when this takes place .
Bus 197 (my fav number) route was extended to Bedok taking bus 41 route from geylang which was doing bedok-bukit merah . -
1993 - 202 withdrawn. 74 extended to Bouna Vista.
75 cut back from Choa Chu Kang to Bt. Panjang
1994 - new service 184!
951, 952, SS7 etc withdrawn due to completion of Woodlands Regional Int. in 1997?
1999 (New LRT and opening of Bt. Panjang INt) - Service 5 replaced by 970 and ammended to ply to Shenton way. Service 700 cut back to end at Bt. Panjang. Service 172 cut back to end at CCK. Feeder services 344, 345 and 179 withdrawn.

4/4/1999: 859 started service. Months later, extended to ply Admiralty Drive.
24/6/2001: 962 started service.
Late 2002: Extended to loop at Admiralty Street.
1994: 138 amended to start at Ang Mo Kio, instead of Yio Chu Kang.
Somewhere in 1994-1995: 165 extended to Hougang Central.
1997: 133 amended to loop at Temasek Blvd, instead of terminating at Marina Ctr Ter.
136 was extended to Hougang Ave 8 from Upper Serangoon, finally extended to Punggol Central.
132: Extended from Ang Mo Kio to Hougang South.
134: Amended to end at Bishan instead of Ang Mo Kio and finally withdrawn.
263: Converted to Townlink 268. Amended to ply Ang Mo Kio Ave 12 / Ind Park 2 after 267 withdrawn.
265/266 withdrawn after integrating as Townlink 265. Some parts of AMK Ave 4/5 affected. 269 amended to cover some parts of old 266 route, finally extending in parts of YCK Rd.
Tibs 857: Withdrawn after integrating with service 169 after WL Reg Int opened. 14/1/2001: 857 reintroduced plying from Yishun to Suntec City. -
Feb 2002 (or 2001?): 159 extended to Sengkang
Dec 2002: 163 extended to Sengkang
Dec 2002: 27 extended to Hougang Central, extended to Sengkang in 2001.
Apr 2001: 168 and 969 introduced, with 969 a day after 168.
July 2002 (or 2001?): 965 introduced. 161 was introduced.
Feb 2002 (or 2001?): 162 introduced.
Sept 2002: Express 521 renumbered as trunk 963, extended to WL Reg Int.
March 2000: Launch of NR1
Later that year: NR2,3,5,6,7,8
2001: NR9,10,12,13,15,16,17,18,21,22
Later that year: All these were withdrawn, NR2 extended to Sembawang.
2002: SBS Transit introduced NiteOwl services 36M, 65M, 85M, 143M, 147M, 174M.
Later that year, 36M, 85M, 143M and 147M were withdrawn and replaced with 16M, 89M, 162M and 181M. 3 services start at Tg Pagar and 3 services at Marina Centre
Anyone knows about changes in SBS' express services? -
506 first plied from Jurong East to Bedok, extended to Changi Airport in 2001, but cut back to Bedok last year due to opening of Changi MRT extension. 34 also withdrawn due to same reason

Bouna vista - changi airport (semi express service)
the fare was OMO 80 cents. way back in 1985...
apparently the bus was withdrawn due to low demand...i think in 1986

BOUNA VISTA - commonwalth ave, QUEENSWAY, follows 196....Cantonment Rd, ECP, airport.
also 192, 193, 80 and 20 were admenede and withdranw here nad there during 1988 whne MRT started.
service 100 and 145 were also in this fray.
55 was withdrawn

Ohh yes , bus 148 !!! Geylang lorong to Clementi using M405 buses . The route was withdraw because of very low load factor .

Sv. 16 and Sv.16E used to go to the airport. However Sv. 16E only operated during peak hours if I'm not mistaken(can someone clarify?)

During that time, svc 16 operates from Changi Airport to Bukit Merah via ECP, Marine Parade, Joo Chiat, city and Tiong Bahru. Later in Sep 1998, amended to serve between Bukit Merah and Marine Parade (Siglap Rd).
Svc 16E is a peak-hour service to supplement svc 16. It plys one-way from Bukit Merah to the airport in the morning peak and return one-way in the evening peak. The route difference is that svc 16E travel express on ECP all the way from the airport before exiting at Rochor Rd, Beach Rd, then resume its route with svc 16 at city hall MRT. Svc 16E was renumbered svc 36 in Dec 1997. In Sep 1998, SBST amended the route of svc 36 to become the present route. -
I hate it when they withdrew 290 and integrate with 220 to form 38. PUI. Better service?! now i have to walk 10 minutes to take feeder bus to tampines

Present route of 90 is from Toa Payoh to Paya Lebar Air Base. Withdrawed 390 is much like present 36. -
Aiya! I have forgotten two more svcs that extended their routes!
On 10/09/2000, 12 pm, Express 501 & Express 502 will be extended from Hougang Central to Sengkang.
However, at that day, Express 511 & 512 were introduced to serve Shenton Way/Penang Rd and Orchard Rd respectively. -

what does the "M" in M1, M2 andM4 mean? and what does the SS in SS7 mean? what service did M4 and NS1 become? what are the other woodlands serivces withdrawn due to the completion of the new int.? (sorry for so many question
, i was looking at Transitlink Guide 1997... anyway, how come the 2003 guide not out yet??

If I'm not wrong, the "M" stands for minibus, currently minibus 8XXX are deployed on services 42 (Kembangan MRT to Opera Est) and 92 (Science Park to Mount Sinai). SS7 stands for Shuttle Service 7. NS1 is withdrawn after Woodlands Line opened.
M4 becomes part of Svc 13.
Services withdrawn are 182, 950, 952, SS7 etc. -
Those were the days . I missed M4 buses , often take bus to Eunos mrt from my primary school . They had those mercedes quiet buses , What model is that ? Anyone knows ?

now here are the buses that have called at bishan before
Service 56 - Bishan - Toa Payoh
Service 57 - Bishan to sim ming (today's 410G and W)
Service 58 - Bishna - marina centre (integrated with svc 56 to form todays VSO56)
Service 59; Bishan - jln kayu
went thru many changes. first shortened to amk. then extended to sengkang and became 866 by TIBS
finally renumbered 86.

OK thanks Yanxin. How about Sv. 134? I understand Sv. 55 was a new route. How was the old route of Sv. 56 and Sv. 58 like before integration?
