I was wondering why SBS Transit removed panels at bus stop since they are "Festive Seasons" services. Also, the NiteOwl broshures are only left with 65M and 174M.Originally posted by dgf6928:Talking of Nite Owl services, at the beginning of this year, Svc 16M, 89M, 181M and 162M were withdrawn. At first they did it so subtly, they said that such services would be festive services to operate on festive periods. I guess it operated on the eve and first day of CNY but later SBST took out the posters and the bus stops and removed the service numbers for these withdrawn services.
It is any one guess whether these services will still run on "festive periods" like coming Good Friday holiday.
Svc 65M from Tanjong Pagar Road to Tampines and Svc 174M from Marina Square to Boon Lay still operates presumably the demand is slightly better than the four withdrawn services.
Sometimes on early Saturday morning, there are only 4 or 5 passengers seldom more than 10 on Svc 89M.

I thought it's service 57 and not 55 that go to the airport? Do you know the route of former 133A? (not the current 133A)Originally posted by SBS9818A:55 Queenstown - Airport, became AMK - Marine Parade, extended to Bishan
56 Bishan - Toa Payoh Int, integrated with Sv. 58 to become Bishan - Marina Center
57 Bishan - Sin Ming Sector C, withdrawn
58 Bishan - Marina Center, followed 133 route from upper Serangoon Rd. Integrated with 56.
59 Bishan - Jln Kayu later shortened to AMK, became 866 when extended to Sengkang and now 86 AMK - Sengkang.
From what I can remember for Serangoon Service,Originally posted by SBS9816E:Hey pple. For this topic, we will look back to some services that have been integrated, withdrawn or introduced.
Backdated to 1993, Serangoon Bus Interchange has Svc 72 n Svc 312. If I am not wrong, Svc 312 travelled from S'goon Bus Interchange n looped at S'goon Ave 3. If I am not wrong, it was withdrawn at the middle of the yr 1993. Svc 72 was withdrawn at 1992, if I am not wrong. It served b/w Serangoon Int and Tanhong Rhu (loop). It was taken over by Svc 158. Svc 104 (S'goon - New Bridge Rd) was withdrawn by then.
On Yr 1998, Svc 72 was extended from its existing route (YCK to AMK Ave 5) to YCK to Tampines.
On 12/12/1999, Service 864, 865, and 866 were renumbered. Svc 864 was integrated with Svc 84 and renumbered as Svc 80. 865 and 866 were renumbered as 85 and 86 respectively.
Any more additions? Juz add them in! =)

Direction towards Marina Centre, 133A turns into Lor Chuan and subsequently to Braddell RoadOriginally posted by SBS9816E:The present route of Service 133 is the same as the previous route 133A. The previous route of Service 133 was following Service 133A, except the turning in of CTE, then to Braddell Rd, then to Upp S'goon Rd.

Anyone knows why 133A was introduced, and later withdrawn?Originally posted by millennium:Direction towards Marina Centre, 133A turns into Lor Chuan and subsequently to Braddell Road
Direction towards Ang Mo kio, 133A turns into CTE from Braddell Road as that time 133A are using double decker and unable to turn into Lor Chuan via the small road below CTE flyover towards Ang Mo Kio direction
Service 1 plied between Somapah and Delta terminals.Originally posted by Superbus:Service 1 - Changi Village > Delta Terminal, sub withdrawn
Service 8 - Bedok > Marina Centre via ECP/Robinson Road, sub withdrawn. Reintroduced as Tampines > Toa Payoh
I don't remember Service 8 to Pasir Ris. The reintroduced route plied near my school and I'm sure I don't get this wrong.
Cheers and warm regards
Ok, I stand corrected abt Service 8, but Service 1 do plied Changi Village to Delta. I still remember my rides with Service 1 will have a refuelling stop at Somapah before heading to Changi Village. I once lived at Upper Changi Road North near Changi Prison's entrance.Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 1 plied between Somapah and Delta terminals.
Service 8 used to ply between Pasir Ris and Toa Payoh Interchanges, the deleted sectors are Tampines Ave 7, Loyang Ave, Pasir Ris Dr 1, Dr 4 and Dr 3. It was amended to Tampines Interchange with the introduction of service 17.
Hmm, who is correct? If service 1 terminates at Changi Village, does it follows the exact route of service 2 to Somapah? (If this is the case, then there's a long duplication of route)Originally posted by Superbus:Ok, I stand corrected abt Service 8, but Service 1 do plied Changi Village to Delta. I don't know when Svc 133A was introduced, but I could remember that it was actually renumbered to Svc 133 around 1989 or 1990. It was service 133 that was withdrawn.Originally posted by tranquilice:Anyone knows why 133A was introduced, and later withdrawn?
So is there any service now which is the successor of the previously withdrawn 133?Originally posted by SBS9816E:I don't know when Svc 133A was introduced, but I could remember that it was actually renumbered to Svc 133 around 1989 or 1990. It was service 133 that was withdrawn.
Now it seems to have been replaced entirely by a similarly-numbered service, Sv. 88!Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 1 plied between Somapah and Delta terminals.

The former and current service 133 can cause a lot of confusion.Originally posted by SBS9816E:I don't know when Svc 133A was introduced, but I could remember that it was actually renumbered to Svc 133 around 1989 or 1990. It was service 133 that was withdrawn.
Yes, but the routes of both services are different.Originally posted by SBS9818A:Now it seems to have been replaced entirely by a similarly-numbered service, Sv. 88!
Then this should be service 133, since 133A ply Serangoon Ave 2.Originally posted by millennium:Direction towards Marina Centre, 133A turns into Lor Chuan and subsequently to Braddell Road
