Integration Svcs, Introduction of New Svcs, Withdrawn Svcs

Talking of Nite Owl services, at the beginning of this year, Svc 16M, 89M, 181M and 162M were withdrawn. At first they did it so subtly, they said that such services would be festive services to operate on festive periods. I guess it operated on the eve and first day of CNY but later SBST took out the posters and the bus stops and removed the service numbers for these withdrawn services.
It is any one guess whether these services will still run on "festive periods" like coming Good Friday holiday.
Svc 65M from Tanjong Pagar Road to Tampines and Svc 174M from Marina Square to Boon Lay still operates presumably the demand is slightly better than the four withdrawn services.
Sometimes on early Saturday morning, there are only 4 or 5 passengers seldom more than 10 on Svc 89M.

I was wondering why SBS Transit removed panels at bus stop since they are "Festive Seasons" services. The guess is correct, 16M, 89M, 162M & 181M didn't operate on the Good Friday holiday on 18 April. I think that SBST didn't withdrawn these services, SBST only make them operate on Christmas Day, New Year & Chinese New Year. So, let us wait for the early morning of 25 December to see if SBST is telling the truth of them operating as festive seasons services.

The present route of Service 133 is the same as the previous route 133A. The previous route of Service 133 was following Service 133A, except the turning in of CTE, then to Braddell Rd, then to Upp S'goon Rd.

Backdated to 1993, Serangoon Bus Interchange has Svc 72 n Svc 312. If I am not wrong, Svc 312 travelled from S'goon Bus Interchange n looped at S'goon Ave 3. If I am not wrong, it was withdrawn at the middle of the yr 1993. Svc 72 was withdrawn at 1992, if I am not wrong. It served b/w Serangoon Int and Tanhong Rhu (loop). It was taken over by Svc 158. Svc 104 (S'goon - New Bridge Rd) was withdrawn by then.
On Yr 1998, Svc 72 was extended from its existing route (YCK to AMK Ave 5) to YCK to Tampines.
On 12/12/1999, Service 864, 865, and 866 were renumbered. Svc 864 was integrated with Svc 84 and renumbered as Svc 80. 865 and 866 were renumbered as 85 and 86 respectively.

312 withdrawn and 105 was amended to ply along Serangoon Ave 2 and 3 to cover 312 route. 318 withdrawn and 315 was amended to cover 318 route along Lor Chuan. 101 withdrawn and 83 was amended to ply along Serangoon Central, 83 was later intergrated together with 147 and 147 took over the route at Serangoon and Hougang area. 72 withdrawn, like what you said, taken over by 158. 104 (and 134 Bishen and New Bridge Road) withdrawn and at the same time 156 (and 54 Bishan and New Bridge Road) was introduced to cover the route of 104 and 134. 217 renumber and become 317.

Service 8 used to ply between Pasir Ris and Toa Payoh Interchanges, the deleted sectors are Tampines Ave 7, Loyang Ave, Pasir Ris Dr 1, Dr 4 and Dr 3. It was amended to Tampines Interchange with the introduction of service 17. -
Ok, I stand corrected abt Service 8, but Service 1 do plied Changi Village to Delta. I still remember my rides with Service 1 will have a refuelling stop at Somapah before heading to Changi Village. Initally was 133 ply between Ang Mo Kio to Marina Centre via Lor Chuan/CTE.
133A was introduced to ply between Ang Mo Kio and Marina Centre via Boundary Road, Serangoon Ave 2 and Upper Serangoon Road when Serangoon area started to developed.
Service 133 (via Lor Chuan/CTE) was later withdrawn and service 133A (via Serangoon Ave 2) was renumbered 133. -
