Try service 200 or 401. They can be as long as 40 minutes. That is the same for Tibs service 926.Originally posted by SBS9816E:Hey guys, what are the svcs you consider has the LONGEST frequency?
For me, I think Svc 105 has the longest frequency, esp the direction from Jurong East to Serangoon! From the opposite direction, I always see 1 or 2 105 buses passing by b4 one Svc 105 comes by! During my school days, when I waited svc 105 at Lor 4 Toa Payoh, I always had to see one 28, 56, 73, 88, 153, 155, 157, 159, 163, 231 b4 a 105 came! What does this mean? It means I have to see every buses passing by Lor 4 Toa Payoh except Svc 105! That really pissed me up for waiting svc 105!
How about waiting a Svc 105 during peak hours and rainy days?! That might take you an hour to wait for a bus!Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Bus 21 and 29 is a killer for me . Excluding those NR and Express buses , waiting for these 2 bus numbers especially just missing the bus is pek cek.
Wah! This kinda situation does happen to 105. 3 comes at 1 shot, then 1 comes later! or 4 at one shot! Sometimes it's at one shot, then after 3 mins, 2 at one shot.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:There was once I waited for bus 31 at kallang for 1 hr , then when my bus arrived , I saw not only 1 or 2 bus 31 , I saw 4 31 DD buses at one shot .
That isn't counted as poor frequency, it was due to poor traffic conditions. I term poor frequency services as those that HAVE a timetable for the approximate arrival time of the bus at the BUS STOP!(examples include 163, 92, 42 etc)Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:There was once I waited for bus 31 at kallang for 1 hr , then when my bus arrived , I saw not only 1 or 2 bus 31 , I saw 4 31 DD buses at one shot .
35 minutes?!Originally posted by Rachel_Lim:Service 970 also has a very long frequency... Sometimes up to 35 minutes... Of course, it depends on traffic conditions as well...
Well, that's right. Sometimes, some bus services could have lonnger frequency, because of the traffic conditions, loading and unloading of passengers, and the speed the drivers are driving at.Originally posted by Rachel_Lim:Service 970 also has a very long frequency... Really poor frequency.Originally posted by Rachel_Lim:Tranquilice: YupI really had to wait up to 35 minutes for them, but it has since improved by only a bit
For example, on Satudays peeps can wait up to 20 minutes for it.
Captain: NO!!! *thwapies* I hate Nissan DieselsHmmm... I cannot imagine if Nissan Diesels were placed on Service 970... People would be hauling mad
Sv. 105 headways are always like that for some unknown reason.Originally posted by pkchukiss:I can testify to that.
It was raining heavily yesterday, and I just left school (NYJC). Went to the bus stop outside it (Serangoon Ave. 3), and wanted to take 105 to Serangoon Interchange.
10 minutes passed, no bus came. More and more people started cramming into the bus shelter.
20 minutes passed, no bus came. Some people decided to walk instead of waiting for the bus.
30 minutes passed, no bus came. People were dying to kill the bus driver.
40 minutes passed, finally a Mercedes Benz came. Bus was half-full, but driver overshot the bus shelter causing all the passengers to have to walk out to the bus in the rain (did I say it was heavy?).
45 minutes later... As the bus was turning into Serangoon Avenue 2, I noticed that another 105 was behind my bus, almost empty. I still remember the bus I took. SBS 488 C. I was so hopping mad (I was dripping mad and still had to stand) I nearly went to the control station to make a complain!
You are right. There are only 13 buses during weekdays and Saturday mornings, and 11 buses during SundaysOriginally posted by tranquilice:Really poor frequency.
