Svc 174 has Volvo Mk 2????

  Hello pple! I discovered something today while I was at Serangoon Bus Interchange! I spotted a Volvo Mk 2 DM on 105 and I was so delighted to see it parking in the interchange. Therefore, I decided to wait for it. Within a minute, the bus reversed and it came to the berth. While boarding the bus (SBS 1825 G), I saw 105 n 174 bus guides! Does this means that Svc 174 has Mk 2? Blatantly, it does! I was thinking if 1825G is shared b/w Svc 174 n 105.

  I saw a B10M Mk II on Sv. 174 at Jln Jurong Kechil yesterday.

  Darryl, don't forget we saw one at Boon Lay Int during one of our bus spotting trips. Volvo buses do make cameos on 174.

  Oh yes, I remember seeing a Alexander B10M MKII at Boon Lay with you. However, I saw an Alexander MKII at Jalan Jurong Kechil with Asahi "try the dry" all-over ad.

  Darryl! I saw this bus today on Svc 105 today! It is SBS 1746 D. (if i didn't see wrongly.)

  I have a feeling that the B10M Mk II buses are from BBDEP.

  Hrm.........The Mk II's have the same engine as the rest of the B10M's. The Mk II's are meant to have a TDH102KF engine, while the Mk III and Mk IV are supposed to have the DH10A engine....however, SBS wanted the same engine, possibly for ease of maintenance, which well, is lacking anyway, judging by the sounds that these buses make.
  
  So the only way they would sound different is because of the different gearbox the Mk II's have (Volvo gearbox, not sure of the model).
