Services 26, 162, 501 & 502 skipped bus stops

Anyone knows why?
Svc 26 buses skip the stop along Geylang Rd outside City Plaza on its way to Toa Payoh.
Svc 162 buses skip the stop along Connaught Dr opposite the padang on its way to Shenton Way.
Both Svcs 501 & 502 buses skip the stop along Yio Chu Kang Rd after Serangoon Garden Way on their way to the city. -

Bus 26 route is so short ,they dont need to skip bus stops in fact they need an extention of route but I am not too sure where through .

No no no! Too much duplication would be present! There would be 4 routes from Toa Payoh to Tampines, it's overkill! I can remember the O305s on Sv. 26, pity they don't have double-decks now.

Perhaps bus 26 can extend to sembawang or something . If they do , we can see Scania buses on 26

The only duplication of routes is mostly at the starting and ending points, and more routes give the passengers more choices.Originally posted by SBS9818A:No no no! Bus 9 and 16 cannot have 998Y buses . Bus 9 , it goes to cargo complex , the roads are narrow . Bus 16 ? The roads at joo chiat are very narrow as well . Bus 36 ? No way , terminal 1 is very small to have long buses , TIBS has tried it already and they have not send anymore bendy buses on 858 to airport ever since .Originally posted by tranquilice:SBS 998Y?
