Should also take note on (TIB) 638T, It also has a very dirty back.

Pity 119, 120, 121, 122, 128, 129, 130, 131 have to pass-by Upp Timah Road everyday.....
SMB128B & SMB129Z had their livery repainted last few months ago.
WOW! That's good news. Finally Citaros for SBS Transit. Can't wait to see them on the roads.
I always thought there will be no more Mercedes Benz buses after the O405s retired next year. Kudos for SBS Transit for bring new Mercedes Benz buses in again. And Citaros. ![]()
They should look something like this. ![]()
![]()

I wonder will they come in as completely build up or imported as kits to Singapore for assembly???
And which engine they are going to use??? The 6 litre or the 12 litre version???
Wonder if the seats are going to be factory defaulted or by Volgelstize???
And greater news is that more Wright B9TLs. In fact 450 of them. That's great. ![]()
Great job SBS. ![]()
that's not a citaro :(
It looks like an OC500LE. X_X
It is a Citaro, but it's the Citaro FuelCell Hybrid Bus. Only if SBST would bring that in!

Yep, the base model is still a Citaro. The picture is just an illustration. Imagine the SBS transit Citaro with a shallower roof. ![]()

Seats that comes with the body as well... Like SMB136C... Those seats are the defaulted ones...

defaulted means the failure to fulfill an obligation eh. so how can the seats fail to fulfill an obligation?

I still remember the SBST's 0405G bendy (SBS999U) did service 195 as a trial, together with some perm MK4 Striders. Now it becomes a full MK3 perm fleet with occasional MK4 cameos.
Originally posted by SBS1869ERyan:They'll never put it on 103. Have been taking that service almost 6 years of my life and it's always been the old buses. After Mk2 was Mk3 now they're replacing with some ZF DM Mk4.
The BC told me the company won't allocate K230UBs (or whatever new/low floor bus) because the road at Seletar Camp is rough and unpaved (and they wouldn't want to destroy the new buses).
But probably 103 will get it after Seletar Aerospace Hub is up :)
I remember there was once somebody mentioned on the K230UBs were put to training along the Seletar camp areas...
If Volvo MK3s are to be taken off the roads at most HGDEP would have to pull some MK4s out from other services to do 103/103M, those affected services would get new buses in return.

so sv16 will be diverted to use Nicoll highway...
then the KUBs will appear...
ACx
It can make use of the 5 K230UBs that were posted to BBDEP after the YOG...
But is service 11 going to be withdrawn?
Originally posted by carbikebus:One friend who work at LTA once said,SMRT is barred from buying extra bendy buses unless its 2 to 1 replacement ie 2 old bendy scrapped only can buy 1 single deck and 1 new bendy. They're trying to lessen the bendy buses in future not totally banned them.About 160/170 cannot take new buses is crap,Its a matter of time SBST wanna deploy Scanias,Why cant cashcow services cant get new buses?
so you mean its still possible to see bendies citaro on the roads?

1100 KUB: CRB, MBO405, 200 MKIII
150 B9TL: 150 LO3x
300 Citaro: 100 MKIII, 150 Strider MK4? 50 in lieu of upcoming devt SUTD, Seletar.
300 B9TL: 50 LO3x, 100 VO2x, 150 VO3x (Left 50 from pionner VO3x batch).
Interesting to note it's likely VO2x replaced by ADD, nong time never see riao.
To be precise.
200 CDGE B9TL for fleet expansion
1100 KUB for replacing 200 B10M MKIIs, 200 N113CRBs and 700 O405s
150 Wright B9TLs for replacing 150 LO3xs
300 Citaros for replacing 300 B10M MKIIIs
300 2nd batch Wright B9Tls for replacing 50 LO3xs, 100 VO2xs and 150 VO3xs batch 1
Maybe we might see another 150 Wright B9TLs to replace the remaining VO3xs and some batch 2 VO3xs. Then another 150 again to replace the remaining batch 2 VO3xs and some fleet expansion.
Anyway good to see more Wrights in Singapore. Certainly elevates the levels of comfort for double deckers here.
As for the 300 Mercedes Benz Citaros, really a surprise from SBST as many people think that Mercedes Benz buses will be gone once the O405s are pharsed out in the fleet in 1 to 2 years time. There is still an affinity between SBST and Mercedes Benz after all. Good to see something different after 1100 KUBs.
Just hope that they will purchase more Mercedes Benz buses to replace the future older single deckers in years to come, be it the upgraded Citaros and future new models. Maybe hopefully we can also see a Mercedes Benz double decker for SBST in future too, just like the O305s. So SBST, please take advantage of the weakening GBP and Euro and purchase more good European buses in years to come.
The specs for these buses are most likely to be using factory fitted interiors, 6 litre engine configurations and CKD kits to be assembled in Singapore. Hopefully SBST will do some modifications on the Citaros to suit Singapore operations needs, such as air con ducts, standardised and bigger side EDS, etc.
But the fact is: Some of MK3s had already deregistered liao.
Those B1 Wright B9s should be replacing 9001 to 9150. But 9060 and 9098 still unrefurbished. 9104 100% gone case due to accident. By the time the deregistration date of both buses reach, the new buses should be on the road.

But there are still a number of Mercedes O405s to offset the deregistered MKIIIs, since all the 1100 KUBs which are partially meant to replace all the O405s are already out.
I guess e MB offer is there because it's like, siao 1100 Scania... How much chances I've left to offer to SBS.
I think e biggest catch if e 'new' O305 appears. But it's a dream until MB relaunches DDs

I would see SBST announcing a new bus order for single decks and double decks by the end of next year. By that time the Citaros will be at least halfway thru delivery, and the first 150 Wrights would be completely be in revenue service.
Hope both Citaros and Wrights can have the Euro 6 emisson which can provide better health benefits (reducing of Noxs) than the current Euro 5 emission.
