most likely, but what LTA should do is to tell them to just register first and Govt can amend the "act" so that ARF paid since 2011 can be refunded....so cos of this, sv22 cant get its share of WAB DD this week. And no wonder SMRT announced that the citaro will be in service only in march when the buses have already arrived since Jan.....

do you think SBST need to go bid for COE ah? all public buses are exempted from COE.

If there's COE then you can forget abt having bulk purchase of buses

Hahaha......... then all of them only have 10 years lifespan and also everyday BC need to ensure cashcard in their IU before ERP gentry and maybe mindef vechicles also need COEs...

MID vehicles are not exempted from paying ERP, just that the letter never reach you, it reaches HQ TPT instead. I believe all vehicles have to pay ERP charges.
Cheers.

Yah but by right all the drivers need to draw out cashcard before going out.

Agreed. The last time I went back for ICT in 3rd week of February, drivers are still required to sign out Cashcards if they need to pass through ERP gantries during their detail.

One of the most stupid rules for public transport. Even foreign transport planners are mocking at this plain stupidity.
My CO said time is important where got time to look for cash cards for 15 trucks that use for exercise? so we just went pass through ERP gantries.

just that sbst./smrt does not lose money by paying ERP.. before ERP introduced, SBST was paying S$5500/year /bus for the road tax. now it was reduced to S$1100... a saving of S$4400/year/bus.. x 3000 buses = S$13 million... dun think anyone remember that the road tax were cut....

Everyone got road tax reduction. In the first place, SBS did not have to pay RPS at all.
Such ERP scheme dun forget, literally makes a cap onto buses (more buses + more ERP gantry meant higher daily cost). It's like from free, I tell you pay but I give you some discount. Still want 7.5m ppl (some URA ex chief scholar).
Give you a drumstick, I take back a whole piece of chicken. More good years to come! ![]()
Addin 556 also got wright crossover from 99 (Perm).
