Has anyone read the New Paper of 9 April 2003? The HEY! section, particularly Andrew Duffy's Pssst! page says a lot about our bus drivers.
to cut to the chase... he was talking about the party game called "everyday items in unusual places"...
"But the people who play the party game best must be bus drivers.
There they are, merrily gambolling along the road, and they find that some joker has put a traffic light at a junction.
To judge by the way they brake, it's the last place they expected to see it.
Having been fooled once, you might think they'd be on the lookout for more Everyday Items in Unusual Places. But NO!
Someone has put a bus stop by the side of the road!
Again, the bus drive slams on the anchors with a heavy foot, because it's clearly the last thing he expected to see there.
Which leads me to the final Unexpected Item in an Unusual Place.
I expect to see little old ladies mumbling in old folks' homes, shopping in malls and sitting in parks.
But in Singapore, they roll around on bus floors.
To judge by their faces, it's caught them by surprise, too."
