  Currently, Clementi Town is served by 14 bus services viz. Services 7, 14, 96, 99, 147, 156, 165, 166, 173, 175, 196, 282, 284 and 285 from Clementi Bus Interchange to many other parts of the island such as Commonwealth, Bukit Merah, Chinatown, Orchard, Victoria Street, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, East Coast, Bedok, etc.
  
  We have studied your request for a new service and our studies have shown that the proposed service will duplicate some existing services. In addition, long distance routes are vulnerable to en-route traffic conditions, which may affect its reliability and results in longer waiting and travel time.
  
  While we strive to provide as many direct services as possible, we seek your understanding that it is inefficient and expensive to provide a direct bus service between every origin and destination. A more efficient and transport model would be the hub-and-spoke model, of which transfer is a key feature. With the introduction of distance-based through fares, commuters will not be panalised for making transfers.
  
  As there are alternative connections available, we regret that we are unable to support the proposed new service.
   
  
  Nonetheless, every feedback is important to us, and we will take your feedback into consideration when we review the bus network in the area.

  How often do you actually take 112? Many pax like me depend on it as a direct way back to Rio Vista etc. People at HG ave 7 need 112 to return back home. 

  So sorry. 

  But in fact, your idea's the one that should be trashed. Your route heavily duplicated 82, and most people would just hop on 82 as it is faster to link to the MRT to CBD. It also mostly plied the HG sector of 161, and it is needless to say 161 is faster in bringing people to HCI than your extension which loops round and round. All the buses wasted here could be better utilised by having them ply on svcs like 82, increasing their frequency. Coz yes, with the rate of development now, 82 could just be the next 101 very soon.
