Why need to ply Street 71? Isnt it better to go straight to Sembawang instead of making a detour?

To prevent the congestion along Sembawang Road (at the Avenue 5 junction). Also, this route dupilcates my 861 route from Woodlands Road to Sembawang Road (which turns to Yishun Ave 7). Also, it can provide transport from/to Yishun Ring Road. Otherwise, it could ply Ave 3 before Yishun Ring Road.

To be honest, there isnt a need to add time by detouring to Yishun Ring Road. The demand is not there plus there is only 3 bus plying btwn Ave 3 and Ave 5 so there shouldnt be a congestion and all 3 dont use bendies with the exception of 980 on weekends. If u want to say about congestion, I suggest u go to Yishun Ave 5 and Sembawang Road and i can tell u Yishun Ave 5 has more congestions than Sembawang Road as it has more buses like 969/859/856/858/811. So by adding 1 bus service to that area. U are adding to the congestion. That is my honest feedback and POV about this.

Express services are meant to serve people from neighbourhoods in the estate to the Central Business District, no point making it go Suntec City or Bayfront. Like that the passengers might as well take MRT instead.

But this svc gives direct connection to Kallang/Geylang from Boundary Road/YCK... And also to Ubi Ave 2...
