In the past, there is a bus terminus near Woodlands Checkpoint, then serving as the bus interchange in Woodlands area, until Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange opened. Then it served as a terminus for 911, 912 and 913 although they still called at the regional bus interchange, until 2003 when they were amended to skip the terminus itself, calling the bus stop outside the present day Woodlands Train Checkpoint instead. In the previous years, several buses doing service 170 also parked there for breaks.

I like 150 but should start at Sengkang instead of Punggol and go within Yishun via Ave 6, 9, 2, 3 to Sembawang road and then go to SLE via Mandai road as proposed. I would Also give more connectivity within Woodlands than just Woodlands Ctr so that more people get point to point use.

Agreed. But realistically, you will not have so many people traveling from Punggol to Woodlands Center as your route is super express. This way, though the route is unique, will not find many commuters. Hence, route will not be economically viable.
You can still terminate it at Woodlands Center but need to do some areas within Yishun and Woodlands.
