Service Improvements to 21 bus services from March 2011

Services 34, 59, 79, 88, 95, 130, 139, 145, 169, 181, 184, 185, 188, 190, 240, 243G, 291, 359, 372, 960, 966.

So 139 did got fleet addition after all.
Sv 34's will be interesting, gotta wait till e-tt gets updated.

188, 190 and 960 excluded because they "have already been improved" quite long ago..

“In the past, SMRT and SBS Transit ran extended last train services to 2am on the eves of three holidays – Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. Both public transport operators will henceforth extend the last train to 12:30am at city stations on the eves of all other Public Holidays as well.”

Punggol LRT will run dual direction full day
CW SK East LRT will get 1 more train during peak hours.
Damai PGL & Woodleigh will open on 20 Jun...

139's case a bit fishyToa Payoh bound during PM peak could do w/ 10 mins freq.

most cham is 199. I think they swapped 1 full day into E shift. PM off peak 17 mins!

improve bus trips =/= add busS34 one should be implementing on 21 Mar.. quite a typical date for changes to happen.

S5 arbp side got one R ADD block swap with one of the S.in recent weeks 65 147 199 converted 1 R to 1 S, while other services like 62 and 80 had fleet reduction.

sbst 95, 145 and 185 came as surprise. how I wish 106 is in the list. there is a time when i boarded a crowded 106 at holland avenue, alight at holland road [after holland/farrer road junction] and wait for 123,174,7 or 77 instead. there should have more bendies for 106. perhaps sbst can take back 106. i seriously doubt smrt has resources to further improve her existing bus routes.

106 is quite empty for most of the day. What time of the day do you take that is crowded?

106 empty? I boarded the bus at holland ave. it has little standing place even for the very first bus that arrive at the busstop at 0605h!
I won't mind that smrt withdraw 106, and had sbst implement another bus service that ply between kent ridge and marina.
kent ridge terminal, clementi road, dover road [university town], north buona vista road, commonwealth ave, holland ave, holland road, napier road, tanglin road, orchard road, bras basah road, suntec, marina.
service to 106 has been deteriorating since smrt had taken over the bus service from sbstransit.

For 184, I know there has been a fleet reduction earlier. Now put back. So = SAME.

I dun see any changes to the timings, recently i have waited for 15 to 20 mins then either 1 or 2 buses bunched up heading WRI. -

188 have to reschedule the time run,,The Split shift goes back to depot early as 9am!190 need more crossover bendies from Bt Panjang to Orchard during morning peak.960 off peak need to improvise,Add bus also no use if time run garbage!966 off peak is insane!Peak hour still acceptable but seriously need bendies during weekday PM peaks.Hmm wonder why KJDEP and WLDEP always get the rap?

971E should run for both Weekday peak hours...Sembawang also need big improvement just 4 and the half service for an interchange?WTF!At least should exyend 857 there

how many new buses SMRT will be buying? if LTA is restricting the bendies from plying along Orchard, SMRT should seriously consider buying double deck instead. Anyone has a detailed information on the number of normal and higher capacity buses, SMRT and SBSTransit will be buying this year?
