I am not very sure but if I remember correctly KJDEP had minority control. Ever seen DAFs doing 856 before.
What was the routing of 182M (182X/182#) when it was introduced in 2001?

> Kallang Gasworks (Junction of Kallang Rd/Crawford Street..) In the late 80s/early 90s, part of Crawford Street was closed due to something, therefore buses were diverted to a certain road before continuing their journey to Crawford St and so on. Was the road called 'Kg Bugis'? And why was Crawford Street closed?

I know about the history but I was asking for the route of 182# when it was introduced in 2001 when 182 was still operating between Boon Lay to Tuas, not Tuas South Ave 9.

I believe 182# is the same route as 182 but it did not ply Tuas Checkpoint. But I would like to ask, does 182 serve Tuas Checkpoint ever since it was introduced in 1998?

I have not seen DAFs on this route, but I did spot CRLs with 856 EDS back in 1996. The CRLs had to be from AMDEP as WLDEP did not exist back then.
DAFs did appear on 852 & 855. Did KJDEP control these 2 routes?

182 praticised the same ops mode ever since it was Jurong East - Tuas
Tuas Terminal was built together w/ Tuas CIQ

Yes.
852 was under KJDEP control (regardless of full or partial) ever since it was introduced till June 2000 when it became full AMDEP. Went back to be KJDEP controlled in Jan 2001, this last for 3 years till Jan 2004, and this is the last time 852 was KJDEP control.
855 was also under KJDEP control, I'm not sure what time is it, but the thing I know is that 855 was no longer under KJDEP control sometime before it was made AMDEP/WLDEP controlled in 1998 (or maybe 855 was redeployed from KJDEP to WLDEP that time) then in Jul 1999 become full AMDEP controlled.

So 182 did ply Tuas Checkpoint ever since it was introduced in 1998?

Actually, you are wrong. It was for the reconstruction of Crawford Bridge.

852 was all the while full KJDEP whereas 855 was minority KJDEP.
All these depot operations changed when WLDEP opened in late 1998, 852 became KJDEP/WLDEP whereas 855 became AMDEP/WLDEP.
Another major depot shift took place again in 1999 due to SBS/Tibs swop. 855 became full AMDEP, whereas 852 came under partial AMDEP for the first time (KJDEP continue to control the other half). Eventually 852 became full AMDEP when Tibs began to take over Bt Batok services.

Are you sure that 852 was full AMDEP from Jun 2000 until 2008?

Is Tuas terminal very near the old Tuas terminal in the 1980s???

Yes
Bef it terminated at Tuas Terminal

The Old Tuas Terminal as in for Sv 175 (Tuas/ SAFTI - Shenton Way)?
That's junction w/ Pioneer Rd

Then my prediction is correct. 182# is between Boon Lay and Tuas (same as 182) except for Tuas Checkpoint part when it was introduced in 2001

852 revert to partial KJDEP/AMDEP in Jan 2001. Went back full AMDEP in Jan 2004.
Post replaced. Come back again sometimes.

It ends at the end of the extended road of Pioneer Rd. Some do refer to it as "Pioneer Rd Extension Terminal". It is not located near former SAFTI at Pasir Laba Rd.

Eh
History of Jurong 182.
1998: Introduced bet Jurong East & Tuas via Jurong Town Hall Rd, Boon Lay Way, Corporation Rd, Jln Ahmad Ibrahim. From then, the bus do enter Tuas Checkpoint bus stop during selected hours.
Sv 183 was introduced on the same day, between Tuas Terminal & Tuas South (Loop).
In 2001/ 2002, 182 was amended to ply Tuas & Boon Lay via Jln Boon Lay (Express).
Not long later, 182 & 183 merged, this time skipping most of Jln Ahmad Ibrahim, plying Upp Jurong Rd (Express) instead.
In 2004/ 2005, 182 started calling Upp Jurong Rd bus stops.
182 started calling at Upp Jurong Rd bus stops somewhere ard 2003 or maybe earlier (if I'm not wrong). I was from one of the camps there, I was abt to ORD only they gave additional service to Upper Jurong Rd..

No. 182 started calling at Upp Jurong Road bus stops on 19th January 2004. Here is the press release:

I noticed that Upper Changi Rd Terminal was shifted from the 13.3km point to the 15.5km point according to BG 1979-81.
Was 15.5km Upper Changi Rd terminal = Somapah terminal ? What happened to the 13.3km Upper Changi Rd terminal then?
