Anyway, for Jurong East/ West New Town back in 1980s, there was Sv 98.
334, 335, 336 linked ppl to Jurong East since then.
Can feedback to SBST to extend 165 to Jurong East.
When was 16E introduced??? Did it get the first batch of the MK4 DM Volvo B10Ms that time???

In 1994. MK4 DMs weren't introduced back then.

Thank you, which means 16E used MKIIIs back then.

I think what he was asking for the second question was if 16E was the recepient of the first batch of MK4 DMs.
Originally posted by SBS8533C:If you realised closely as to why Service 192 & 193 were amended to cover Jurong West St 64 & Jurong West Ave 4 is because it provides more coverage for residents living in Jurong West who wants to head to the Jurong /Tuas Industrial Estate.
Also, not just the above reason alone, but the cut off of part of the sector of Upp Jurong Rd. Part of Jurong West Ave 2 & 4 is part of former Upp Jurong Rd.
The current Jurong West Ave 2 is also part of the ending sector of PIE (34km mark), and thereafter it leads to Upp Jurong Rd (the current Jurong West Ave 2 & 4 and the junction of Corporation Rd)
Basically PIE ended at JJC junction... I think the actual Upp Jurong Rd/ Jurong Rd divider should be Jln Bahar/ Jln Boon Lay junction.
Which is why Jurong West Ave 4 the roads are 3 lane per direction and w/ semi expressway speed limit.

I saw him saying 'Did it get the first batch of the MK4 DM Volvo B10Ms that time' which means it is when 16E was introduced.

1. Did LA perm on 2, 7, 10, 14, 22, 23, 25, 30, 33, 51, 61, 63, 65, 106, 111, 166, 169, 178, 189 and 190? If so what are the regos you might probably see?
2. Did O305 perm on 81, 97, 111 and any other service. If so what are the regos you might probably see?
3. When is service 174 in Bukit Batok Depot before 1988, if terminate at NTU?
4. Where is the service 175 depots and fleet were, throughout the years?
5. Where is the service 188 depots and fleet were, throughout the years?
6. Where is the service 169 and 178 fleet were, throughout the years?
1) I am sure that 106 did used LA before turning FAC in 1998. Most of their LA fleet used regos in the ranges of 56XX. 5616 is one of them.
2, 10, 30, 65 and 166 if I did not remember wrongly they should have used LAs before before getting VO2x for 10, 30 and 65.
2) I can sure that 97 and 111 did use O305s in the past. 2493 was one of them serving 97 then.

Spot on SBS7123J..
If i'm not wrong. '7123J' used to be on svc 7 or 30 or 197 during mid-late 90s?, just refreshing my mind...
It was on 197 then together with 7134, 3559, 3564 and 3571 as the LO2X fleet then.
Originally posted by SBS5151R:I believe the first 242 here had been withdrawn by this point of time, because before the bus interchange is closed, there's already a second 242 introduced from Lakeside MRT and loop at Jurong West St 91.
And I would like to ask, did service 10 ever terminate at Boon Lay before?
According to the SBS Busway newsletter (There was a section in the newsletter with route amendments/withdrawal/introduction details), 242 was withdrawn on March 1990 due to route duplication with services like 187, 199 and 240 etc.
However on the April 1990 and May 1990 editon of the newsletter there was no mention on new service 242 being introduced as a service between Lakeside MRT and Jurong West Street 91. But then on the Jun/July 1990 joint edition of the newsletter when there was a feature of the new Boon Lay Interchange it mentioned that 242 was 'moved' to the new interchange instead of 'introduced as a new service'.

Looks like we have to ask Sbst275 about this.
It seems to be coming near to Hari Raya Puasa, would anyone mind talking about their memories of bus services in Eunos, the old Malay settlement?

Remember service 50 - Eunos to Bukit Merah?

If I'm not wrong, service 50 terminated at the new (and current) Eunos Bus Interchange just before its withdrawal. Before it used the new DM MK2s, it has a fleet of Mercedes-Benz OF1413 and Mercedes-Benz OF1417.

I think 50, 51 and ex 52 all started from there...
