Following TIB424T and TIB422Z, it should be SBS6024T and SBS6022Z.

Just would like to point out that, its not the first time sbst has hidden stuff below metal panels in the driver's compartment. My point of the post was to discuss what was potentially hidden underneath the panel.

It has come to my attention that at least some of the production Citaros for SMRT Buses have the new ZF-EcoLife 6-speed automatic transmission (model 6 AP 1200 B).
For passengers, this new transmission can be differentiated from the previous ZF-Ecomat transmissions by the completely different gearchange and retarder noises, lower upshift RPMs as well as different gear selection buttons on the driver's dash (blue and black instead of red and white).
I'm surprised that nobody has pointed this out already!
Perth recently received Australia's first Mercedes-Benz OC 500 LE with the ZF-EcoLife transmission (model 6 AP 1400 B). A recording of one of the units can be download HERE.
So does SBST Citaros have the new ZF EcoLife 6 speed auto transmission as well???![]()

No, they have the Voith DIWA 854.5. Voith's latest gear selection buttons are all-black. Notice the blue 'Neutral' button on the SMRT Buses unit with EcoLife.

Then is the Voith DIWA 854.5 6 speed auto as well???
And what is the default transmission unit for the Citaros anyway??? ![]()

No. The D854.5 is a 4-speed gearbox.
Citaros are delivered by default with a Voith (either D854.5 or D864.5 depending on engine torque). Alternatively, the ZF-EcoLife can be specified as a no-cost optional extra.

What is the difference between the Voith D854.5 and D864.5???

Refering to the specification sheet available from Voith, D854.5 can accept up to a maximum power of 220kw(295hp), and torque of 1100Nm. D864.5 on the other hand, can accept up to maximum power of 290kw(389hp), and torque of 1600Nm.
Good read if u want to know more.
