I agree with your sentence. HGDEP got too many creepy MK3s already, they ought to do something about it.
Maybe why HGDEP has been considered to have decent if not good mainteinance all these while might very well be due to its constituent fleet being made up of the B10Ms and VOs, especially the MKIIIs.
The MKIII has a clean slate to boast of.
MKIII ain't fast (usually), ain't handsome...but it certainly did its job remarkably well, as a true blue workhorse. The closest I can think of are the SBST 0405s, but for some strange reason, people are willing to overlook this fact and lampoon the MKIIIs and laud the 0405s...which doesnt do the MKIII justice at all. After all, they arrived around the same time, and gave SBS a modern fleet with the N113s and the Superbuses and the other B10Ms. So at the least we should appreciate this fact.
Oh. And I like the fact that its impossible to remove the seats on the B10Ms, never mind the crappy legroom.![]()

dun worry, within the next 1 year, all the MK 3 will be gone..you will see plenty of Citaros from HGDEP, but then you will complain about the aircon later on...
Originally posted by Vincent Lee:ok! sbs6008r on138 anyway amdep so kai su take in so many citaros and don,t put them on svc and let them sleep inside dep must well tranfer them out to other dep who need them!
u see SBST register how many citaros now? and how many are in service? there are 29 other citaros who are sleeping in other depots right now. Not just AMDEP is parking these citaros, the rest of the depots are doing so as well. it seem like Mercedes have deliver the buses in advance.... SBST should have just parked these buses inside depots without registering them first... When they want deploy, they will definitely deploy...

Exactly and it might be BCs are still not trained to drive the Citaro yet?
Soon it will all be KUBs, Citaros and Wrights ![]()

i think a lot of BCs are trained.. but then the MK3 are still around.. so there are some excess buses... and guess C&C shipped out too fast.. so SBST have no choice but to park them in depots first...
so it will be 1100KUBs, 300 Citaros + ??? , 450 Wrights, 200 B9, 470 VO3x...

SBST should have just lay up and dereg the MK3s at an earlier date if that's the case, just like what they did to the 0405s when the K230UBs were registered.
