is it registered?
would really like to have seen the might of a Citaro "let loose" on the e'way...
Wow haha.I have a feeling that the SMRT Citaros would be regged quite soon.
btw is this the part of the 66 Citaros that SMRT bought that was mentioned earlier this year??The remaining 56 buses??This is just my guess.

Well, i guess u can only see a ZF citaro "let loose" its might, because the voith would already have hit gear 4 at 40km/h. The ZF seems to reach it's 6th at around 55-60km/h depending on the inclination of the road, which means theres still room to go faster if it was not limited to 60km/h.
Only 15 special public buses with Voith would have that sort of "letting-loose".
And all are with SBST.![]()

52 has only one perm??? ![]()
Then 56 has perm??? I always see one along Middle road to Bishan around 7pm almost everyday.
How about those on 125 and 131 recently???
6008R spotted yesterday (30 August 2011) as a training bus (EDS showed "OFF SERVICE" - Approximately 1400 hours @ Bus Stop 63249.
SBS6030A might be perm 502 since it has been doing 502 consistently.
took SBS6067U on 109 two dyas ago. caught it at opp blk 261 at around 6pm while going to Changi Village. Before that, i actually failed to catch SBS6065A(the bus left when i was crossing the road). this was my first time on a citaro. the ride was GREAT!!! the gearbox sounded like tridents. surroundings oso made more comfortable. but MB made door pressure badly. in a few stops, the back doors can't even MOVE. overall, i still enjoyed the ride. hope to see them on Sengkang svc soon, especially 159 and 163. ![]()
Wa, Citaro so fast starts to emit black smoke. Facing the pax somemore.

Gearbox is by Voith for both the Citaros & the Dennis Tridents.

thats what i was thinking too... The Voith ones are nearly redlining on SBST at 60, and like the KUBs, at 60, the rpm is still quite low so it can go on for quite long....

I've seen MKIIIs with less smoke...
today, @ ard 10.30am-11am, 6038 (sv53) entered Bishan int, followed by 6037, 6036, random KUB and lastly 6035. ![]()
off topic: heard that the new SMRT Citaros features an additional third brake light.
