I'm not bothered abt 'bus co didn't exercise this n that' bla bla bla, seriously that's e designers problem... You offer something, has to best match your customer's details..
Maybe they knew new design coming, summer sale lelong 50% off. Clear out old stock ![]()
Well unfortunately thats not how the tendering process works in this time and day anymore because everyone simply wants to save cost and generate value.
U have to choose what you want, otherwise it dosent come as a standard item. This is all thanks to how the world goes round, unless you specfiy that u want it, otherwise its not given so as to save your cost.
If not how to win the tender process? Once ur co. is public listed, you cant simply just "i want this and that" without a proper tender process otherwise its being irresponsible to the shareholders.

Just look at Mark Chua and his kids. "I want this and that" and they get Wrights and Citaros cut out for them. You just need some persistence. ![]()

Maybe it is because they wanted to continue the "Mercz Legacy" on 53. Svc 56 has Citaro too who say dun haf.
Svc 518 > SBS 6085S
1st express svc to have mercz running, usually is Mk3, 4, Strider and DM3500 full volvo fleet.

Guess which is the next airport service to get Citaros... ![]()
Originally posted by lemon1974:Some serious issue about the Citaros... is there problem with the glass windows/panels for the citaros? are they easily breakable? now beside 6014Y which have a smash side glass panel (where the side EDS was), 6009 and 6055 both have cracked rear glass panels (at the back of bus)....this explain why 6078/6079 appear on 131/28.. now all 3 buses are parked at the layup corner of AMDEP.
surprisingly, no other visible damage spotted on the bodywork of these 3 buses.. not sure what cause the glass panel to break so easily...BC's mistake? or hit by branches and just cracked? or weather? or mischieft? in the past, really seldom see buses with cracked glass panels at all. now in the space of around 1 month, 3 AM/BR citaros have such problem....
Poor buses. Hope they can get the replacements soon... ![]()
