Like the Dennis Lance 245 buses in the past where all laid-up of buses officially starts on 29 July 2013, many people were rushing that laid-up begins on the weekend. So for the Volvo Olympian 2-Axles, please do not rush to get the buses retired. All those spare buses (SBS7238L, SBS7239J, SBS7240D, SBS7241B, SBS7244T, SBS7245R, SBS7246M) are still in active service.

SBS 6078 M is MYOB that's all. Trust SGWiki or else face the consequences.

Apparently, the last of the non-airconditioned (NAC) public buses, Volvo Olympian 2 axles were said to have been retired as of yesterday (31st August 2013).
If that's true, goodbye non-airconditioned (NAC) public buses forever in SG. Long history of them as well, Volvo B57, Leyland Atlantean etc...

Saw 7225Z with dismantled interior being towed out of SLBP at 10.50am. To the scrapyard! Anyway, still saw VO2x on Sat. But on Sunday and ytd, poof!

2 weeks atleast or one month atleast before then de-registration date.
So if eg 7275D's de-registration date comes on 29 Dec 2013, Atleast one month, or 2 weeks it will wait for it's de-registration, Whichever is earlier.

Guys, think the batch of VO3x Batch 1s that are due to be scrapped in Jan 2014 & haven't gotten the 6-month extension are getting an extension in the next few weeks.
I've spotted 9309C (BN 9) & 9312S (BN 6) this week with new repainted liveries alr. Makes no sense if SBST is gonna scrap them 2 months later & still repaint them.

It's either:
1) those in the Nov 2013 batch are all too cui and CMI alr, or
2) they are intending of extending the 3 batches of Nov, Dec & Jan VO3x Batch 1s together at one go.. (like how they did back then with the Mk4 Striders)I'm guessing it's more likely 2), given how SLBP has been trying to hold onto its current fleet of VO3x Batch 1s for as long as they can while seemingly waiting for more Wrights to come.. The extension should be around the corner for any of those going to be extended bah.

I mean I thought the November batches will be extended around this month as the some buses from the previous three batches (August to October) were extended one month before their de-registration date. But never mind, it will be a great shock about the buses getting extensions in November across three straight batches.
