How do you explain to the public if you use their money and then run normal bus for the new services? At least for the near future.
Visibility counts where practical.
Ha. Who know maybe lance or scania might go on sv860 knowing their pattern? Anything is possible except bendy. Cos no bendy n crowd can't board 860. Then can ask Lta to give few more buses to sv860

SMRT's pattern all the time~
Well the public won't complain for having a larger capacity bus than those BSEP MANs? It's something like you're paying $1 for an Ice-Cream that's in cone and in the end you just get an Ice-Cream in the box...
Looking at the statistic, the most one route get one new bus... no big deal. Some more is MAN.. how many seats and standing capacity we all know.

New bus routes doesn't warrant higher capacity buses for the moment, unless the demand is going to be very high as the time passes.
They always introduce single deckers to test the route first. If the demand is too low, they migh even withdraw that service, before introducing higher capacity buses.
And this route doesn't warrant higher capacity buses, it only needs better frequencies.

The new MANs, SMB3001M-SMB3013D, are batch II MANs, No more under BSEP scheme.

But what with the jump of reg no. So in between SMB288 and SMB2999 there are going to be new bus? o.o

For that, their readings indicate 'Omnibus SMRT ARF exempted'
Beats me why they would want to jump either.

there could be some more buses, but not sure what are they.
200 Batch 1 MAN and 14 batch 2?
From what I heard, 5 MAN under KJ(3008 to 3012)

200 Batch 1 MAN and 14 batch 2?

At least the SBS Citaro and Wrights reg num dont jump that much. The batch 2 is really a big jump
why you all called the lastest MAN batch 2?? any change in the interior?
All the same, just rego different.

all the new SBST Wright/citaros registered yesterday also changed from BSEP to normal scheme... It seem like that they were registered under the assets of gov (BSEP) first and then transfer over to SBST/SMRT for easy management.......

these new MAN are not BATCH II. Just that they were transfer to SMRT after registered under LTA first..

buses that are regged in the 3000-series are BSEP buses. They belong to the 200 MAN buses SMRT bought. This would mean this batch wont have registered regos up to SMB388S.
Please do not misunderstand that its a batch 2 MAN. SMRT did not announce anything about a new MAN order so what batch 2 are we talking about?
