The protruded wind screen is likely a design feature than a flaw... No one would want any sharp edge window or fitting in reality. It's not just over looks...

Actually, Scania, DAF and Hispano CAC/OAC uses the same design for the front :P Just that one is bend inwards, another is normal, and the last one is "pop-out"

Surprisingly the DAF give less problem than Lances and L113s,Just ask the technician in KJ.Thats why SMRT should at least buy the VDL SLF120.255 using DAF PR 9.2L EEV with 250hp/1050nm.
I have no particular liking for both types.
The only reason if I ever take them is because I need to, or I decided that I'm tired of the new buses and check out the poorer condition cousins.![]()

That customised body is a choice that TIBS made in the 1990s. Not all DAFs comes with this design. If SMRT is to get a DAF engined DD aka VDL bus, they can use other kinds of customised bus body.
