This 228 guy is clearly no idiot.
You guys realise that his posts reflect a high level of understanding of the issues around here?
You can't be as irritating if you do not really understand what actually irritates the shit out of people.![]()
As it is it isn't his post that is entertaining per se, but any reply that follows is!

LOL. You make a point there. ![]()

So with your statement, i presume you have driven various Citaros in Singapore as a bus captain or service leader in SMRT to give that statement?

If a KUB or Citaro bunch up on 53, i'll take whichever arrives at the bus stop first, or which has more space and available seating.

Lol, I do think it makes sense.

I admit that they travel fast, but they aren't the fastest in the world. There is 1 private bus which has 420hp.
Citybus and coaches are world apart

i have asked them, you can ask them, but you don't have to, u can look at the figures the citaro's engine outputs and you can say the driver has to put in alot of effort to drive the bus, in terms of constant kicking down and flooring to keep up with traffic. no such issue with the adequetely powered MAN A22s.
It's because there are only 6400cc with speed limit to 60 only. Its a different story if the regulator limit to 80...MAN/OCs are above 10000cc bro

pick up is the most important thing in citybus operations IMO... the citaro fails miserably at that, the MANs and OCs are much better at it.

This is a baseless allegation, total BS from you. Citaro buses are fine as it is, the ones that are underpowered are not Citaros, the Scania KUBs. You want to try, go and try on services that have both Citaro and Scania. Asked the drivers yourself and see their response. I have seen and taken many times on Citaro and underpower? How powerful do you want 6L engine to be? You don't like the Citaro, fine. Please STOP these BASELESS Allegations. Talk with FACTS and not RUBBISH. Thank you!
You really consider Citaros not underpowered? yes its 6L, ok, still underpowered, its kind of obvious, thank you and have a good night.
although i must concede it is indeed better than KUB after the pick up stage into the 2nd and 3rd gear

So the citaros' problem is the poor acceleration?
But they have high top speeds, like 70km/h...

lol 230hp only...
But those E4s on 27 are pretty good.
Just that most of them vibrate a lot and have loud engines and radiators...
Most E5s also have back door problems, they give of a hissing sound whenever the door opens or closes...
And the KUBs do not have enough seating spaces... esp. the Batch 1 E4s.

dude its not the citaro that is poor in driving
compare smrt and sbst ones
smrt never go tune their citaros until so jiak lat like sbst
sbst one want to save fuel to tune to change gear at very low rpm
end up very slow
if they didnt tune it the citaro itself would have been a pleasant bus to drive
some sbst citaros that werent tuned have been reportedly able to fly when on svc
its the tuning that counts

This part I truly agree.SBST tuned until engine temp easily went up.But some of 27/168 buses are exception..

So you're saying that you think KUBs are best?
Just stating the facts, your tone is like 'SBS1000U' who implements his hatred to bendies in 2 threads. You're either his 'number 2' aka clone or him. He disappeared and you came in to post all this shits. Dosen't pay off anymore like I said.

Hang on there! What he means is that he will board the bus with LESSER AMOUNT OF PEOPLE, MORE "EMPTY" in terms of no. of passengers, and MORE FREE SEATS
You are making wrong assumptions again! Also, he didn't imply that he will board a KUB over a Citaro!
Think you have misinterpreted his words...
Its bagus entertainment.![]()
Bloody hell....Bus 11 is the best lah =.=" No vibration..

In the Singapore Buses thread, "Bus 11" does not apply here.
