high top speed may not always mean good acceleration ( the citaro's engine has to run at very high speeds at 60km/h compared to say a Volvo B9TL or the MAN NL323F )

i know, just compare the citaro's maximum of 1120Nm @ 1200 - 1600 rpmm and the A22's maximum of 1600 Nm at 1000 rpm - 1400 rpm...
maximum horsepower (and top speed) is there but at much higher engine speeds
PS. I've seen Volvo B9TLs (CDGE) with ZF jerking very badly when they shift in the RPM's red zone...

I had asked a svc 27 BC about which type of buses (Citaro vs KUB) he prefers to drive. He said that it depends. He prefers the KUB for shorter routes especially those with a lot of bus stops as driving out of them is easier compared to the Citaro which is really slow in driving out. On the highway, he prefers the Citaro as there is more power when accelerating up to 60km/h, and it is more comfortable than KUBs.

IMO, Citaros would have been a much better choice if the aircon vents were fitted like the MAN NL323F or the B9TL wrights.
I would greatly enjoy a Citaro ride if the aircon is strong enough.
