TIBS LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE 864 ON SUNDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 1998- Free Rides On Day Of Launch
Trans-Island Bus Services Ltd (Tibs) will be launching a new Service 864 in Sengkang on Sunday, 15 November 1998. To thank the Sengkang residents for their patience and understanding, Tibs will be offering free rides on Service 864 on the day of the launch.
Service 864 is an air-con trunk service which plies between Sengkang New Town and Marina Centre. This service will provide Sengkang residents with connections to nearby Paya Lebar MRT station and the Central Business District. The service will operate from 5.45 am to 11.00 pm during Mondays to Saturdays in the direction of Sengkang to Marina Centre. In the direction of Marina Centre to Sengkang, the service will operate from 6.15 am to 11.30 pm during Mondays to Saturdays. For Sundays and Public Holidays, the service will operate from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm in the direction of Sengkang to Marina Centre. In the direction of Marina Centre to Sengkang, the service will operate from 6.30 am to 11.30 pm.
For passengers’ convenience, posters announcing the introduction of the service have been displayed at the bus stops along its route. Leaflets are also being distributed to residents informing them of the new service.
... that BNDEP not only removes the rimguards of the buses. They also remove every single small nut covers on the rims of the KUBs, B9TL CDGE and some B9TL Wright. Here is a picture for comparison:

All ezlink card readers when new have light blue colour covers. SBS Transit changed theirs to purple and red, SMRT left it as blue. SBS Transit merely changed the covers or installed an older unit with the blue covers.

It's not confirm but heard news that the current Lor 1 will be demolish and renovated into a mini closure bus park,Haha at least someone here predict correctly although its not confirm yet...Wonder how many buses can squeeze there?80?

from soon lee to Boon Lay ave, yes indeed. not so many ppl
but from jurong west ave 1 to Toh Guan (esp from jurong east ave 1 already full with standing pax), it's full loading if it's a SD. Weekends.
if DD, 80% of seating occupied
thats why 502 shld stay... direct route to orchard from West. i like this service. must deploy DD esp on weekends

today took SBS 8586A on sv 36 when the bus coming to Republic Blud b4 climbing up to ECP Know what ? the SL switch off the air con then bus slowly climb up the slope to ECP after reaching the SL switch on the air-con again ! why kubs hv not enough power to climb dat slope must off air-con then hv more power to climb up slope ? ![]()

That why SMRT getting MAN buses or Citaro and SBST KUBs who ever purchase them in SBST is not a person who take bus HAHAHAHAHA

That slope is called the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. It is quite steep, when i joyrided 36 the other time, BC had to floor the acclerator.
