Some of our dear SBST buses also used cable tie, same goes to cabs :x Seems like cable tie is taught during their early education as a emergency tools?
no wonder ...
if anything drops, use cable ties ...
what about the readers on SMB136C?

That one I not sure~ But I can say that the drivers(be it bus or taxi), always have their backup tools, aka "spare parts"~
They mostly use plastic bags one
Air con cold? Drivers would use tissue or tape to seal up the air hole(above door)
Unique Singapore~~

that many citaro air-con is no good. why sbst must buy so many of them. i perfer KUBs or MAN bus air-con system.

That's cos the Citaro wasn't initially meant for Singapore's Hot Climate... Maybe Citaros with custom bodywork?
Incorrect. SMRT Citaros have their air conditioners tuned so much better than SBST's... and Citaros will never come with custom bodywork.
the last time i saw the O405 OAC (non-refurbished) the A/C was set at 21-22 deg C
For Smrt they got climate control but not for SBST.Ideal setting should be 23degrees between 0530-0700,0701-1000 21-22 degrees above 1001-2200 temp should set between 18-22.Raining days between 22-24.
Pity,Last time even the UDs got temp control plus fan speed
A number of STK-MAN technicians are stationed at all SMRT bus depot starting this year. Those are experts in troubleshoot the NL engines
CAC's air-conditioner is also not so good (referring to O405s).

should be good news. hope they can fix the "flatwheel" sounds

Flatwheel under smrt tech..
@gus Chong CAC by right should have good aircon due to their separate operation between engine and aircon

I also believed so but on Sunday I took TIB778Y on 169 when it was a very hot day, I feel that the bus was so hot and the air-conditioner only acts like a fan.
Probably SL only set the temp to 23-24?Or air con filter is dirty?Maybe need gas top up or compressor gone case?
SMB74Y's A/C set at 25 deg C
25 degree so fucking hot
I rode on an OC ytd.
17 degress.
Not even cold to me...

that would be very cold ...
depending on fan speed...
