WEF 01 Apr 2013, SMRT's Service Leaders will be renamed as Bus Captains as well. Same term as what SBST calls their drivers.
(I think this wasn't reported explicitly by the press media despite the news abt wage increases for SMRT staff yesterday, but it's stated in SMRT's own staff email to its workers)

It was stated under Footnote 1. Thanks sbst275 for pointing that out.

Wah u r like an annoying RSS Reader...
...that Service 31 has the highest amount of VSO's in its fleet? (7 VSO's) A close second is service 28 (6 VSO's)
...that Service 89 has the highest amount of Dennis Tridents in its fleet? (6 Dennis Tridents)
...that the junction at the Punggol Park sign in Hougang Ave 10 is the easiest place to catch Dennis Tridents? It's because there are services 62, 80 and 89 which pass through that junction.
...a record of FIVE Dennis Tridents were spotted last month at that very junction at the same time? (2 Tridents on 89 [both at opposite directions], 1 Trident on 80 and 2 Tridents on 62 [on same direction])

Anytime, a 10-year old SBST single-decker Volvo is a more comfortable ride than a brand-new Scania. I get sea-sick taking a Scania. SBST should provide barf bags in Scania. And my old bones take a beating coping with the muscle-wrenching jerkiness. Buying the Scanias was the worst decision ever.

Leyland & Volvo Olympian (batch 1) 3 axles back to back on service 8 - near identical Alexander Royale bodywork design fitted on both types of chassis
Though with minor differences such as the space above the front windscreen is thinner for the Leyland Olympian, and more grilles on the offside/nearside near the rear of the Leyland and different air-condition system grilles covers.
