WEF 01 Apr 2013, SMRT's Service Leaders will be renamed as Bus Captains as well. Same term as what SBST calls their drivers.
(I think this wasn't reported explicitly by the press media despite the news abt wage increases for SMRT staff yesterday, but it's stated in SMRT's own staff email to its workers) -

If I'm not getting it wrong, from the Nissan Diesel U31RCNs to the Habit bodied Mercedes Benz 0405G, 838H is the only unit so far to survive a full 17 years standard lifespan without any major modifications to the passenger cabin. ...that Service 89 has the highest amount of Dennis Tridents in its fleet? (6 Dennis Tridents)
...that the junction at the Punggol Park sign in Hougang Ave 10 is the easiest place to catch Dennis Tridents? It's because there are services 62, 80 and 89 which pass through that junction.

Anytime, a 10-year old SBST single-decker Volvo is a more comfortable ride than a brand-new Scania. I get sea-sick taking a Scania. SBST should provide barf bags in Scania. And my old bones take a beating coping with the muscle-wrenching jerkiness. Buying the Scanias was the worst decision ever.
