Yeah 5079S is perm 53 now with perm stix, that bus is fleet addition following intro of 53A & 53B.
Before Oct or Nov last year (can't rmb exact month, but end of year), 53 had 19 buses. Then 53 did added 1 more fleet add S-shift somewhere in Q3 of 2011. Bus that went in was 8688P (that bus was with perm stix and ad), then it got kicked out shortly afterwards to SP then later 21.After 8688P went in:
6010H 6011E 6012C 6013A 6015U 6016S 6035L 6036J 6037G 6038D.
(10Citaros). [6014Y was Laid-up with that cracked windscreen, so means total is 11 Citaros actually in schedule] AND
8161S 8162P 8164J 8165G 8599M 8608X 8609T 8657D 8688P 8885L
(10 KUBs)
[-> Total is 20 buses on 53 in that month, but 8165G was supposedly out of 53 by then but then it came back & just stayed on to cover 6014Y's missing slot]
Then 8165G went out of 53 to SP officially after 6014Y came back from Laid-up. So now means total Citaro fleet was back to 11 Citaros, plus 9 KUBs after 8165G went out.
After which 6013A & 6055D swapped, so means Citaros still remained at 11 in number for Sv 53's fleet. Means fleet size is still 11 Citaros, 9 KUBs. Total 20 buses.Then 8688P went out of 53 to SP and then later 21 at the start of this year with no replacement. 8777R was not replacing 8688P at all, no perm stix. So means cut 1 KUB, and hence 11 Citaros, 8 KUBs left. Total 19 buses only when there were 20 duties.
Then last month there was the addition of fleet add for 53A/53B (which is 5079S). So means there is 21 duties for 53? But then now 11 Citaros still remain there, and along with 9 KUBs including the addition of 5079S. So means 53 is still missing a replacement for 8688P's slot, and I don't think that slot is replaced by the 410 X-over duty though..
Someone please help me double-check again though for the missing duty, but I still think there's 21 duties for 53 now excluding the X-over from 410.

5079 6010 6011 6012 6014 6015 6016 6035 6036 6037 6038 6055 8161 8162 8164 8599 8608 8609 8657 8885.
20 buses, not 21. Previously before fleet add is 19 buses, not 20. The xover from 410 5060 not included also.
If you still feel there's 21 perm buses for 53, please do up the online schedule first. Outside schedule buses not included btw.

8909C recently went up on 53.I assume that it is to replace 8688P.Duties for 53 remains as 21 sometimes though cuz i remembered a KUB of 410 was on duty for 53 but forgotten which bus.8909C was a perm stix 24.
8165G was never ever spotted by me.I guess it has either been laid up or deployed to other services.

That's why I'm confused as to whether is there 20 or 21 buses as of now. There are outside schedule permers for 53 uh in the first place?

that 410 KUB is a perm x-over timing during AM & PM peak, 5060U. None of the other SP KUBs are perm 53 as of now.

HGDEP has been playing with their Citaros!
Look at 43, 163, citaros have been deployed to it once in a while(more frequent for 43), but none are perms for them yet! So dont be too happy for 161 first. hahaha

They are replacing this with the MK4 DM3500(happen to be 2709C), but for today, it replaced an DD.

They should replace wif the DDs.Citaros should be deployed to AMDEP for take in.6081C was the last take in and now 6201Z is the latest bus registered.Just give services like 24 3 more citaros.

This problem is bound for the future. All new buses will be full low floor in future. At least the Citaro is better than the MAN A22 which is even worse with the crooked aisle at the back. Too bad 36 can't use double deckers or else the Wrights will be the best choice. 506 actually if it has improved frequencies, Citaros shouldn't pose much problems.I hope Mercedes Benz will improve the back aisle problem for the Citaro 3 and hope SBST will buy more of the Citaro 3 in future.

506 is problematic as in it gets impulse loading over MI crowd, it's like for 1 or 2 trips nia. Then the gearbox issue is pretty bad for eway travelling.
