But usually there's pre-planning one la
Got outside schedule arrangement or sort..
170 & 170X lor...

May I ask, how do you predict 36 will possibly have Citaro perms?

I just see a possibility, not predict. Since there was cameos before, it might be possible that 36 might have Citaros in future. Or else it might not, just as what the other guy says.

Oh I see.

5060U is still perm 410 uh all along. It still is. Just that during peak hours, it does 53 also. That's all. ![]()

Or there can be a roving perm bus that does not have a perm slot. amdep does not have this practice so its unlikely also. unless one of the regos i mentioned above has consistently been missing cos its in the workshop..
The only ones that's missing recently is 8161S 8885L. 8161S is back since last Thurs after MIA for more than a month, so left with 8885L which IIRC is perm S shift? so I might have missed spotting that bus.

I think i posted this many pages before, but 36 hadn't got any Citaro perms (probably might have only 1 or 2 in the future, but not in the near future as far as we can see) because of the crush loading at Orchard & Marina area, those crowds are like 24/7 every day in the week while the other airport services' load will fluctuate according to weekdays/weekends or peak hours vs non-peak.
Like I took 36 today from Dhoby Ghaut to Airport, the bus was fully packed (yes it's a Sunday rmb) all the way till Marine Parade where only then the crowd got lesser. The Citaros just can't fit that much people at any one time.
The only possible reason from what I can see in it getting any Citaros is to climb that steep incline from Marina Bay there up onto Benjamin Sheares bridge, while 518 (which has Citaro perms) use the other entry slip road to ECP from MBS instead which is more flat compared to the one 36 uses (if i'm not mistaken). But from what i could tell, the KUBs can still cope. I mean yes, it's slightly slower in climbing that almost 45degree banking up onto ECP and if BC not skilled enough the bus might downshift 2-3 gears just to climb, but the KUBs (majority Euro Vs with the more lethargic gearbox somemore) can still haul the bus up there.
SBS6192R is BBDEP SP. Today on Service 16, new new.

I saw on more than one occasion that 5060U & some other 410 KUBs that did the morning X-over slot (with that specific timing) to 53 also on 53 that very same evening. Unless you tell me those few occasions they were pulled over to 53 to replace another bus in the evening?
