Actually he should predict 405, 408 and 409 better. Someone make false claims that SMB228X were taking pictures of Citaros at Mount Faber, but 409 did not have Citaro cameos at all.

8909C kicked out by one of the 3 Citaros on 24 since months ago. 8960C was kicked out from 125 by Citaros also. Neither are perm 24 already uh.

Why are the SBST staffs favouring Citaros more than E5s?

Citaros are much better than E5!!

To me, I don't feel Citaros are better. The E5's air-conditioning are still the best even though the newer Citaros have colder air-condition.
SBS 6197C on sv 101 today ! (HG SP)
SBS6194K confirmed to be in HGDEP :D
It was on 27 today :D
Obviously someone is trying hard to avoid answering anything..
It's like taking as if only ppl on the other bus camp know mgmt of SBST like that.
Fake excuses for those who sent email...it seems like they did not send any email at all.

Has something to do with acceleration between the Citaros & KUBs from what I can tell. For example, for the set of bus stops along Pasir Ris, it might take up till 2 mins to get from one stop to another in a KUB with full acceleration. But in a Citaro under full acceleration, the time taken is usually about 30s or 45s lesser on average. This is what I observed because I take 53 at the same timing every weekday in the morning and more than twice weekly the same BC would be driving the slot, just that his bus alternates between 6035L/6036J and same random SP KUB. The traffic conditions at that peak hour time is usually similar too.
The KUBs (more so the Euro Vs) have a more sluggish gearbox if you could call it. The BCs can floor the Euro IV KUBs in almost the same manner as you would in a Citaro, but do the same in a Euro V and the gearbox will just simply refuse to shift up, then cause the whole bus to have a big jerk and losing speed before it finally upshifts.
Probably that's why there's like more Euro V KUBs as SPs then the Euro IVs in recent months, those Euro Vs are definitely not kicked out by having a higher mileage than the Euro IVs in any case.

yeah yeah yeah and your lame excuses..) I going to see how you are going to predict 405 is going to have citaros soon...you still have to wait exactly 3 months according to the poster this year...)

So they like faster buses to serve commuters faster?

Most likely the current batch is for BBDEP, not sure for which services.

Seriously, there's no reason to floor accelerator each n every time, engine will wear off in the long run...
in fact, contary to what people believe, if you keep on 'drag' your gear, the gear will tend not to change at all. It's like why MT vehicles you've to apply cluch and let go of accelerator to change gear.
It's all to do w/ smooth driving that let your pick up be faster.

This only applies to this period of time. Everything will change after at least two years.

Then 36 should get Citaros they more power!!!
No no no
The Citaro in SBST's fleet the gear is not properly tuned either.. Rpm is likely to be very high than usual at 60km/hr judging by the engine sound...
The FC isn't good either at such occasion, saw before... 2km per lit...

That's why SBST prefer E5s on 36 than Citaros.

SBS buy future Citaro should use ZF have mix like Wright!!

going around sprouting nonsense...
If ur gearbox is not properly tuned, ZF or Voith, you're going to face higher rpm for no reason...
You can go on flaunting your Citaro theory, but you're slowly going to be eating your own words...
