Special Run crossover officially means that this bus has no official timecard and duty code, hence the name. There are examples where I can cite.
1. TIB612S, which does 971E first bus from International Plaza, has no timecard or duty no. It relies on the IDFC to follow the timings.
2. SMB239P, which does the 184 AM Peak only, after doing WT13. No timecard or duty no, but is scheduled to run 3 trips of 184 AM Peak.
3. The slot which used to be done by TIB525K for 911E/169A during AM Peak. The 911E/169A slot has no timecard as well.
For 239P is it full AM peak?
What's an IDFC, By the way?

8.35am Ngee Ann Poly
9.20+am Pending LRT towards Clementi MRT
Off service approx 1020am from Bukit Panjang.
That's all I remember.

If it is going home from BP at 1020 it should have a timesheet, Like any other normal splits do.

Yes. IDFC, i cant really explain. I know what it does is to ensure the bus driver follows his schedule and should automatically update the bus stops. It's the console where he can press the bus tickets.

I DO keep track of the redeployments and updating it in MY OWN DATABASE. i am seriously too sick of updating at this stupid place thanks to idiots present here who choose to mess up everything.

It doesn't. It really really doesn't. It's the same driver who drives WT13, why should he need a timecard?

Ok, I understand.
To me ending 1020 is like any other normal split does, But nevermind.

Indeed, I agree with you. I also do get fed up of updating here because of the same reasons. Been like this for years, and I feel sick of it.

It's as though this thread shouldn't be existent at all.

SBS3017J is indeed perm sv166. Wonder who reverted its status on sgwiki. Spotted it doing the same evening slot back to amk int for the past 2 weeks or so and today too.
It's slot is done by SP DDs before and it replaces the SD slot done by 871D when it was still on sv166 a while back.
On another note, 6050S is seen doing the same slot in the morning for the past 2 days I've seen. Someone too edited 2611A to be perm sv99 and it may or may not be its replacement. Will have to observe more.

Do you know why the thread is created in the first place???
Mostly likely we will have to trace back the source of creating this thread many years ago...

Anyone spot SMB121U lately?
I havent spot it since March
SUSPECT :
SMB128B
(WLDEP 911)
*Bus will do 911E till 8am and change over to 911 after that, under 911S101 timesheet*
how can a scheduled bus go w/o time card?
How is driver going to figure his pace?
That's the biggest problem w/ SMRT and ppl still dun understand meaning of schedule adherence.
and to all kids, SMRT has to submit all their dispatch to PTC.. how can there be informal trips?

Svc 901 on Good Friday have 3 additional buses without time card. They just get the signal from the other 3 with time card.

The driver figures out his pace via the IDFC console... It shows how early or late he is.
That's why these informal trips are known as special run...

Not just 901 actually. Lots of services do, such as 700 960 during IT Shows and PC Shows to name a few.

Eh, how are you going to read the screen unless at traffic junction..
The timetable at least you can glance it before you start trip, roughly wat time to arrive at which checkpoint...

They can see it too at bus stops... SBS Transit has their own arrival system too onboard the buses.
And these drivers are very familiar with the schedule, so im sure they will be aware.

SBS still have timesheet, AVMS is just to remind them how early/ late they're.
Familiar is one thing, what abt your checkpoint stops? Headway adherence is pretty important. Later 1 early 1 late.
Alrdy Svs like 961 literally no zheng hu, anyhow OTOT whack.
Somemore if it's every Friday, there ought to be proper schedule alrdy.. It's regular

Why not you write in to the "ever-reliable" SMRT Corp comms and PTC and ask that? ![]()
The whole place bo zheng hu...
Think SMRT need to be restructured....
Complacency has set in..
Shame on it, cos it's a Temasek Hldg subsidary
