They need to get rid more O405Gs to declare WAB for their trunks and feeders.
Get rid all the MK2,Volgrens and batch 1 Habits:About 100 buses then replace with 50 A24s and 50 A95s.

I highly doubt that LTA will allow SMRT to bring in more A24 buses.. Even so at most another small number of buses..

The success of 858 will probably have knocked a little sense into them.
40 buses is ridiculously insufficient. Considering they are the best HC choices for feeders and intratowns.
Furthermore they may be brought into ex-SBST feeders now that there is GCM.

I agree with that as 858 still need more to convert.
Thats why SMRT need 50 more units of A24 at least..858 cannot deploy majority A24s,disaster!Sequence should be A22,A22,A22,A24 and so on.858 just need 28 buses including 8 A24s..5 full days and 3 split shift..Would be better if AMDEP can take 4-5 duties.

Wonder what is this special occasion about for the Jurong Industrial services to 1 short all go WAB (next WAB wave for SBST could have taken place in March instead).

With a fleet of 27 buses with 9 - 10 A24s...
188 can transfer those 4 A24 to Wldep for feeder and 858.

SMRT won't bother to buy Enviro500s which is the 2015 facelift version because Tower Transit and Go-Ahead will be using Enviro500s which is called the concept GCM bus model.

Would be better if LTA kope all the SMRT Enviros too.LTA should order A95 and A95 three door/dual staircase and of course VDL single deck.

Franky speaking I would like to see SMRT buy more new DDs and deploy them on 854. Even though 854 had been declared WAB last Oct, I still see several old bendies despite a few DDs running on this route. There also used to be a perm A24 on 854 too but it seems to be taken out lately.
Compared to those like 188, 190, 963 etc that got several upgrades to DDs after turning to WAB.

The dates already confirmed for all remaining JIS services...25th January 2016.
8, 23 and 81 need to upgrade their Tamp int berth to go WAB. It do not look like it will happen soon. 23 and 37 also have majority-non WAB fleet. (37 running a number of WEGs recently though). Recently also see a number of VO3x and (especially) CDGEs popping up on east area services not involved in GCM. Notable swap on buses on Svc 5, 8, 28, 58, 59

No A24 buses coming in at the moment.. It's either SMRT transfer some A24 from KJDEP to AMDEP, and just deploy more A95 to replace them (services such as 180 & 188) or add in more rigid slots..
It might be a hint to us that the next batch of A95 Batch 2 buses will be coming in very quick so as to replace majority of the O405Gs on 960..
As for 962, I hope WLDEP will just add in more rigid buses to the current fleet. No point having so many high capacity buses without having a good frequency..
