Which units for SMRT?

Did post #1726 get deleted? Surprising phenomenon...

Fail 60% WAB.
SMRT should take more A95s.
I wonder if 857 can have more duties transferred to WPDEP, so that the DDs can go to 854.
No need. I would rather AMDEP side 857 swap out 4 of its DDs with the non-WAB bendies from 854. Since 857 WAB quota is way ahead.

857 is 100% WAB. Can just swap out very easily
Dont worry,I am sure Amdep will get the A95s once they start ONP @ Loyang.I am more than happy if they deploy 3 units to 67,4 units to 851,2 more units to 854 and 2 more to 857 as well as 2 units for 961.

But they reduce 1 AP DD 961 duty leh. Now left the sole split DD on 961. Must be a reason why they reduce the DD on 961.

If you notice the A/P DD now join its sibling on Split shift..I still see 2 DDs running on peak hours

Really meh? 3541X fly to 169 everyday leh. Only saw 3581E on 961 and didnt manage to see another DD

Is 961 in desperate need for DDs?

With so many buses added,I feel those two DDs better deploy to svc 187
8 / 23 / 46 / 81 waiting for unused berth to be used for WAB.
160 / 170 is already WAB notified but not student-proof (example 950). WABs are allowed to JB but not RP students :) The age of majority is not an issue, but unsafe conditions for me is.
84 / 191 / 401 can be WAB (I know).
193 is not even 70% WAB, but wheelchair training is done on 193 to open PIW.
262 / 761 I agree is by June 2017 and is the last to be WAB.
SBST bus services that are not yet WAB:
8, 23, 46, 81, 84, 160, 170, 191, 193, 262, 401, 761.
SMRT bus services that are not yet WAB:
180, 184, 188E, 188R, 300, 529, 530, 531, 546, 587, 588, 589, 590, 598, 599, 700A, 806, 825, 850E, 853#, 854E, 856, 859A, 859B, 860A, 868, 900, 900A, 925#, 926, 951E, 961#, 963E, 963R, 964, 971E, 975, 975B, 979M, 982E, BPS1, NR1, NR2, NR3, NR5, NR6, NR7, NR8.

SBS - refer to previous note.
With the retirement of O405Gs, I will assure NightRiders will at least one shot all go WAB, together with more bus services.
Last year, SBST launched fourteen WAB services, and SMRT launched twelve WAB services.
As of now, SBST has twelve non-WAB services, and SMRT has forty-eight non-WAB services.
I guess SBST services will be 100% WAB by July 2017.
I guess SMRT services will be 100% WAB by April 2020.
The seventeen regular SMRT bus services (180, 184, 300, 700A, 806, 856, 859A, 859B, 860A, 868, 900, 900A, 926, 964, 975, 975B) would probably be given priority and become WAB by October 2017.

Curious on how some SMRT premiums and buses like 825 will become WAB when they use mini buses now? XD
Change of fleet? XP

Come to think about it, this may be the reason why SMRT procured forty units of MAN A24 articulated buses in 2014.
The articulated buses would probably replace the mini buses, when there are enough double-decker buses to replace the articulated buses on the regular bus services.

If you ask me... 961 doesn't need any DDs... there are other services along the route that can tank the load...
147 from Chinatown to Queensway
855/153 from Bukit Merah to Ferrar Rd
174 from Ferrar Rd to Beauty World
170 from Bukit Timah all the way up to Kranji
960 from Bukit Panjang to Woodlands...
I think 180 could be in the next WAB wave for SMRT, now that it have a DD majority during off-peak with some bendies
I think 184 needs a DD upgrade to make it WAB unless rigids are spammed to meet the WAB quota, 184 weekend fleet mostly/full rigids but weekday fleet requires a majority of HC buses

But if thats the case it would be alright for mainly the premiums. But what about 825/529 when it has to squeeze thru narrower roads? Probably SDs would replace them right?

I know 2G services are alerady shut down by July 2016. Everyone gone to 3G/4G already. The dual-SIM card is not affected. The 2G phones (pre-iPhone/Android era) are all retired except Nokia Lumia, Sony Xperia.
I guess analogue television will be shut down by end of 2016 too. So the MCI is forcing every Singapore household to convert to Digital TV.
No wonder busesingapore always claim "rogue" bus fans always attack austic bus fans..See people like you who like to create nuisance and hide behind curtains when thing exploded..Well done,Come i clap for you.

184 is a good bendy service and I hope they can maintain the bendies on it. Clementi MRT have huge alighting/boarding.
I sincerely hope just to make the service WAB, SMRT does not do a rigid spamming as it did on Woodland feeders/intra-towns that were once upon a time full fleet bendy.
If it comes to making it bendy, I would prefer they deploy 6 A24s, 6 MK3, 4 A22s.A24s can be taken from some feeders like 804/903 that can do v well with DDs as well. Alternately, they can consider terminating 184 at Clementi Interchange and then deploy DDs on it. But NO to rigid spamming.

I observed 184's huge loading occasionally while in the train to school as I saw many students taking 52/184/154 to SIM/NP during AM peak at Clementi MRT, 184 is doing very well with bendies, for me, I hope they deploy some (or majority) DDs on it if 184 becomes WAB (similar to 180's current fleet with majority DD with some bendies)
Off topic: Is Clementi Interchange bendy friendly? I don't think I ever saw a bendy at Clementi Interchange
