Your 'X' makes me feel vexed, as though you disagree with SBST and SMRT to buy other buses.

Any single deck bus will do, no more Citaros for SBST please! SMRT can still purchase Citaros.

No, SBS should buy more Citaros and Citaro Gs!
As I said before, SBST did not keep SBS998Y and SBS999U for a reason.....and 300 Citaros is more than enough, for now....

SBST should buy other bus models instead of sticking onto the same bus models.

Sorry, I rather SBST to buy products that have been proven for their quality, reliabilty, comfort and durability. Mercedes Benz buses has proven to be very realiable workhorses for SBST fleet, especially the O405s and OF1413s. The O405s are still so realiable after 17 years on the roads, which has proved a very good investment for SBST.
I hope SBST will continue to use Mercedes Benz buses given the new generation of O530 Citaro buses and hope so that they will buy more Citaros to continue the legacy of Mercedes Benz buses in the SBST fleet since SBS started in 1973.
But for SMRT, too many Mercedes Benz buses in their fleet and getting boring. They should change to Scania, Sunlong, Kinglong, Higer, Yutong or Zhongtong OR maybe even revert back to Japanese makes like Hino and Nissan UD.

Citaros will be good but no Citaro Gs. Bendies are not practical in Singapore.

Though I like the Mercedes-Benz buses as well, but I really hope you can put an end to all this. How many Citaros do you want SBST to buy?
And I don't feel SMRT buses majority having Mercedes-Benz buses to be boring.
To me, Citaro Gs is a must to replace the O405Gs. Otherwise if the bus fleet is doubled (with rigids only), won't the buses like be stuck in a jam?

As long as there is a need to replace buses, then they should buy more.
Then how much you want SMRT to buy??? 700 odd Mercedes buses out of its 900 buses, still not enough??? It's bored enough. Good thing they switch over to MAN. Hope to see other makes like Scania too.
Maybe the 1100 Scania KUBs are exchange with the whole SMRT fleet with SBST since you like Scania so much.
That is to your opinion. But Citaro Gs are not suitable for our roads, since they are prone to fires, even O405Gs are fire hazards. And if there are so many bendies on the roads, it will cause even worse jams and very very long queues. At least 12m buses have the flexibilities to move in and out without hogging the whole bus stop. Thus SMRT should get 12m MAN double deckers to replace all the bendies instead.

800 more Citaros is not boring! Get the facelift version with 12 liter engine, gorba mobitec or hanover eds and different gearbox like ZF! Everyone deserves comfortable buses to work and school!
got include 10 years' funding for the operations for these buses.

I prefer Citaro 3. Fitted with OM457hLA (299bhp), LAWO High-LED and Voith Diwa 864.5.

SMRT to me I think at least 150 Citaros to bring the total to at least 200.

You don't seems to understand what jam I'm referring to. Refer to this link:

Yes, for the next 6 years, the LO3X, VO2X & VO3X will have to be replaced.

so SBST indirectly can buy SDs instead to replace those VO3x... while govt help to funds the DDs replacement ....another way of subsidy... 200 LO3x + 100 VO2x + 470 VO3x... SBST already bought 450 Wrights.. left around 320 DDs to be replace...
problem is... 10 year nia...
Likely they'll be sent to scrapyard aft their 10 yrs of use..
