Only service on this road in SBST area but belongs to Tibs

Tibs 61 along Commonwealth Drive (between Commonwealth Ave & Queensway)
Tibs 189 along Clementi Ave 6 (between PIE and Commonwealth Ave West)
Tibs 176 along West Coast Highway (between Pasir Panjang Rd & Jln Buroh)
Each of the 3 services above is the only service to ply on that stretch of road in SBST-controlled area, but is operated by Tibs.
What do you think of the above? Should SBST do something to compete with these Tibs services in its area of control? -

I think that SBST really got no choice but to let TIBS continue to operate in their area of control, as some of the routes like Commonwealth Dr are too narrow to accomodate, like a Bendy with a DD. The route may not be too profitable, and perhaps it is useless to divert away from a route that is more profitable. Afterall, it is all a give and take situation, and plus the PTC, this would then create some kind of competition with some kind of advantage to one party. PTC also gave SBST some leeway such as allowing them into a TIBS controlled area like Woodlands and allowing 161 and 168 to run, though TIBS must be damn furious. -

I think sBS and TIBs should allowed more services to each territory . Instead of competiting with each other , they should concentrate providing the public with better buses and comfort and also competiting with the private bus operators .

i feel that some area still not adequate cover. perhaps sbst shd go sembawng also. down there even my fren is complaning liaozzz. (i know FS and ben complaning also)

61 use to belong to SBS mah, since that ruling by t he govt, SBS has to concede certain service routes to TIBS s o unlikely they will compete with tibs for 61 route again.

well it could be that sembawng interchnage be built and we find sbst bus 164 go there or something like that.

Is Svc 970 also counted in as another bus service which plies along SBST area but belonging to Tibs ? It plies along Alexandra Road.. Commonwealth Avenue..

Service 970 is the only Tibs service, but not the ONLY bus service to ply along Alexandra Rd (between Delta Rd/Lower Delta Rd and Commonwealth Ave/Leng Kee Rd only), Delta Rd and River Valley Rd (between Delta Rd and Irwell Bank Rd/Kim Seng Rd only). For Commonwealth Ave, there is service 106 too. -
