Service 194 is what I call short and direct.
87 connects Sengkang to Bedok in just 13kms... These are two different towns in NE and E. 194 goes within Jurong Industrial estate and is a bird park service... How do you even compare? 87 is def short and direct considering two towns it connects... And that is also one of the major reasons of its popularity.

181 has possible extension yo Bulim... Hence will be maintained as trunk.

Check SBST website

Bedok - Sengkang: high loading throughout
Sengkang - Bedok: only high loading from Kaki Bukit - Bedok and within Sengkang (by carbikebus' input)
I wonder if it is possible if 1 - 3 87's DD at Sengkang can do 27A (since 27A starts at Sengkang), then when it ends at Tampines, goes to Bedok and continue do 87.
27A needs full day DDs of its own. Just like 143M

Not really...
In the new "integrated" system, it is a new capability we had yet to see.
Anyone got the same feel that all the 190 drivers from WLDEP generally drive slower than KJDEP drivers?
24Jun2014 evening, SMB1383 being overtook by 3 KJDEP buses, driver still drive like a snail like not his biz.

Will Woodlands North interchange open in 2019 with first phase of TSL?

have u feedback to SBST on this? i think they got to buy more DDs. if 27A use DDs, the freq of sv 27 SD following behind the DD can be shorten to push more pax travelling up to tampines only to use 27A DD.
Yes multiple times. Response: standard that we will evaluate.

Service 118: Hougang Central Int - Tampines Int
Service 27: Tampines Int - Changi Airport
...
I know there are some who have been saying that Sv 39 has some restrictions along its route that doesn't allow for DD deployments.
But can anyone clarify which sector is it exactly along Sv 39's route that has these DD-restrictions? Lentor Ave?
Because most of the route from Tamp - Pasir Ris - TPE - SLE has DD svcs plying along the same stretch too. So the only sector that doesn't have any DDs is Lentor Ave - Yishun?

sv 39 has restrictions at its terminal point - Yishun interchange. Apart from that, there are no restrictions.
Once Yishun interchange moves, sv 39 will get DDs for sure.

If Lentor ave branches too low, means 851,854,857,969,855 all routes cannot have DDs. This is not true as SMRT has mentioned it would like to introduce DDs on 857. If it is low, they will take corrective action, but I have passed by the road many times and I dont think they are low.

No.
I deeply recall seeing off-service SBST wrights along that area.
And yes, the E500 did pass by that place with ease...

I support split route.
Either split at Tampines, or split entire route itself (meaning two routes ditto each other, only that one terminates at Tamp and use DDs while the other continues to CGA. freq for both will be lower than of current 27.)

Haiya... we have said this now 100 times about sv 27/27A/27M. Doesnt look like SBST/LTA is interested... now we are just repeating same stuff again n again.

Yishun interchange has the shelter which does not allow DDs.

SBST has bought more buses consisting of Volvo B9TLs, Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaros and there may be more.
