825 is weekdays and Saturday morning while 529 is Saturday afternoon... Although they should have just made 825 full day service and scrap 529.
825 should be made running full days.SMRT take over and dump 2 A/P and 1 S Citaro buses.

Originally posted by SBS7557R:I agree that the number of feeders per residential town (or rather per interchange may not entirely matter as they are required to serve particular needs due to new town developments within the residential town. However, it may become an issue if most or all of the additional feeder services are going to require the deployment of articulated buses to meet their passenger demands, since the deployment of full fleet single-deck buses for feeders are not feasible and double-deck buses are deemed unsuitable for feeders by many users here.
For instance, a particular residential town currently has 4 feeder services operating from the same bus interchange, of which 3 of them are deployed with articulated buses. As new residential blocks and neighbourhoods (let's assume 4 new neighbourhoods) are developed in that residential town, the authorities decided to implement an additional 4 feeders to serve each of the 4 neighbourhoods.
Due to overwhelming demand on at least 2 of these new feeders, it is deemed necessary that the 2 new feeders are required to be deployed with articulated buses. However, this particular bus interchange only has a limited number of parking lots for articulated buses, which may already be insufficient for the existing 3 feeders which use articulated buses. 2 more new feeders would mean greater parking issues for the additional articulated buses deployed on the 2 new feeders.
Even if parking space is not an issue, the traffic congestion from the deployment of additional articulated buses on the 2 new feeders could further increase congestion in the interchange when disembarking or picking up commuters in the interchange, assuming all trunk/non-basic services in this fictitious bus interchange strictly use double-deck buses.
All in all, the deployment of more articulated buses as a result of the introduction of more feeders which may require them may adversely further affect traffic congestion in bus interchanges, given that our bus interchanges are becoming smaller over the years. This is unless the new feeders can start from another bus interchange/terminal within the same residential town or double-deck buses are deployed in place of articulated buses for the additional feeders introduced to serve the new neighbourhoods, or rather follow the earlier suggestion (having more inter-town services rather than feeders for new town developments which could facilitate the deployment of double-deck buses if they are in high demand).
I'm aware that no new feeder introduced so far have urgent needs for higher capacity buses (301 324 371 382 386 803 805 & 904). However, this could change as more developments are completed along their routes or with future feeder services that are introduced.

Q: Under what circumstances are buses re-deployed from one bus service to another, or from one bus depot to another?
Time to lock this thread as there is a new one already.

Lol. It only states that we can't use a new "part X" if the current one is <2000. Doesn't state that we can't continue using the current one when it is >2000. ![]()
And as the new thread isn't stickied, it's the mod's job to do so, not ours. (quote: mods "must" ...) Failure to adhere means the mod(s) should be banned. ![]()
