You should try taking feeder and intratown services before you talk...You are no one to tell me when I should talk and not. I was talking about trunk services, not feeders. Most feeders have good frequency - what is so new about it?
190 has a good frequency - if it does not come every 04 mins, you should see how much the queue at CCK will end up. Ofcourse, SMRT is inefficient, so there will be times when the bus won't come on time.
And mind your language next time.

27 actually has a frequency of 03 mins in morning peak, and 04 mins evening peak. But just between Tampines and Hougang. The frequency can be around 08 mins at Changi Terminal.

300 also used to have good freq under SBS... w/ VO2x somemore... 302 also had double decks ever...

reminds me of CCK... When Tibs tookover 190 from SBS, Tibs immediately got bombarded for its lousy bus sv... Cos Tibs couldn't match the no of high capacity buses... 172 & 175 became graveyard for all the old Hino non aircon bus.. also tio complained... takeover from SBS give ppl old bus... Same goes to 61 when Tibs tookover... Ever since then, Sv 61's std cmi.... 30 mins headways was common..

Agree. svc 61 has detoriorated in the past few months. Erratic frequency and bunching has become common. Route is too long - needs to be shortened according to me.

need me to say 61 from 90% DD fleet to now full SD fleet under SMRT?? Seriously even bus 187 also cannot manage properly... The bus speed en-route... At times often see them grouping together for no reason...

I have waited 812 for 30 mins before (morning peak). You call that good frequency?If you want to compare feeder services, many SBST feeders have better frequencies compared to 2 SMRTB feeders.

exactly, 61 needs majority WAB fleet, the SDs can't cope during peak hours and the frequencies are at best erratic, i don't quite understand why the service lost its bendies one by one...

61 needs to split into 2 parts.Bukit Batok to New Bridge Rd, 972 by SMRTB.
Another part to be managed by SBST, New Bridge Rd to Eunos, under 61.

61's downfall occured when the Tibs era mismanagement of 61 began... erratic freq... It was well known of 61's 30 mins and 3 buses appearing... I guess from them ridership nothing but fell.. But I guess there's also other factors like NEL, ageing estate of Kallang Bahru etc.. needless to say 175 now in e pic taking the Lavender - Kallang Bahru biz..

I wonder if the WAB bendies will operate 61. Got a small possibility but not 100% though.

why not? higher capacity buses on 61 are always welcome but looking at the nature of 61's route, double deckers would be more suitable but if it has to be a bendy bus, i welcome it wholeheartedly

It will. The Trans Island high capacity buses are not wheelchair accessible, but 61 was chosen to be given wheelchair accessibility, hence the replacement of some bendy buses to wheelchair accessible OC Citaro MAN. Until the replacement WAB high capacity buses for the TIBS bendies come in, this will probably be a temporary measure.
Consider this, by that time when the TIBS bendy buses get replaced, the travel pattern of Singaporeans would have changed again with the upcoming MRT lines and 61's demand may have also changed. -

61 should just skip McPherson/Ubi.Turn to Lor 1 Sims Ave all the way to Eunos.Sure can improve frequencies.

Don't forget the BSEPs and the future parallel services it could solve some problems with existing trunk routes without the need to modify 61.
