During peak hours, at most you add in about 10mins?(rough value) to the timing written on the board.
Yes, the timing is quite accurate..
You might not considered it, but I considered that as speeding, or chionging~ Most drivers hit up till 55km/h on normal road already quite fast~ Even for packed bus. And I ain't talking about expressway little bro~~

What’s the use of the board if in reality the actual ops require actual longer dwell time at each station…
and I think SMB66X dun even know that the board if one goes to check at every station.. the overall travelling time from end to end does not even tally..
some 63, some 64…
Try it yourself before thinking some rubbish for goodness sake...
One doesn't even talk back when he himself don't even know how to use it and how it's that true~ That draws to make me wonder if you really take the MRT system when it's constructed so long ago..or perhaps are you a bus-sick, die die must take bus or else can't go out? ![]()

U go uphill slow down? Sure anot? U take 36 when going up benjamin sheares bridge how to slow down? U 1 the bus roll down is it? I agree that u go down hill must slow down, if the bus is travelling too quickly, the bus will lose control, and if unlucky will roll off the slope.

You dun even understand why MRT needs a timetable…
The only diff the MRT has against the bus is it does not have to face peak hour traffic volume…
but it still has to face variation in demand load at diff time belts – that’s where dwell time has to be tweaked for both safety and realistic dwell time for everyone…
I think ppl wouldn’t even know Chinese Garden’s actual dwell time is only 1 sec… door open, buzzer immediately activated…
Then the timetable has to take into consideration off peak to peak transition for two reasons, the incremental pax load along the way and to ensure ample spacing between the peak hour trains that’s dispatched from the depot…
Obviously most of your here dun even understand the very behind things onto getting things done..
If everything goes w/o timetable, when the peak hr train departs from the tracks, let’s see how they’re going to juggle the freq properly…
They go w/o timetable is their problem, as long as I know I am getting from A to B within the time stated, plus the waiting time, I see no issue. At least all I know is that the train are much faster than buses on road.
If SMRT implemented a timetable, great then? Lesser waiting time~ Who don't like?
If they got timetable or w/o timetable, frequency up/down etc, still faster than taking bus home on road~

obviously you wun care, but the inefficiency is there for everyone to see.. erratic waiting time is one thing... you still dun get it... timetable is not abt being faster or what.. it's abt stability and order...
The waiting time for each train I've experienced is still acceptable(for NSEWL line)~ Of cause it depends on luck. But for peak hours, the NSL line at JE is sure fast. Went there a few time, both platform have a frequency lesser than 5mins.
Erractic waiting timing is yes, but they aren't mostly that longer than 5mins.(There's some time where the waiting time is 7mins, but not mostly).
Chillax la.. argue here, argue there. =.=''

Its in the driving manual.
Of course it depends on the situation, but the origins of this comes from the blinded crest of a hill.
And that is the reason why there are humps situated on uphill sections where such crests exist, such as those in NUS.
For manual gear vehicles if you want to approach uphill cautiously and reduce strain on the engine at the same time, you slow down and engage a lower gear also.

Yes that occurs to me before(I never say it won't). But as far as I've experienced(when I usually travel to work during peak hours etc.), this type of situation hardly occurs.
