Alot of SMRT drivers i saw LOVE to sway the steering wheels. This results in the bus going left and right and bendies are not spared either. In an empty bendy bus this can create a pendulum effect and has SERIOUS consequences unless the hydraulic ram systems on the bendy section is working that helps dampens this effect (like how a heavy weight on a skyscraper works when earthquake strikes). A Citaro G test video showed the driver violently swinging the bus like the Habit and it does not have any pendulum effect shown like the Habit.
There doesnt seem anything wrong with the bus.
The BC made initial corrections that compounded on each other and started the pendulum chain.

of course, as technology progresses, lots of things will be made safer ![]()
anyway still weird why the bendy suddenly swings left and right...
So if the then-Singapore Bus Services had purchased a fleet of MAN buses, and named them "Superbus" like their fleet of double deckers, we will quite literally have "SuperMAN". :P

Because BIS is S.H.I.T and he created this account called SMB3001M to Tr0lL in the forums...
New Woodlands Depot and Kranji Depot, both can accommodate DDs now. New WDL depot can easily accommodate 200 DDs.
If SMRT is fit for DDs they should take 3 door 13m Man Lion's City DD.

dafuq
did i just read ...
i've decided to evaluate the suitability of double decker buses on WRI feeders and intratowns, as a person who has lived in woodlands all his life and not in bukit merah.
900 - not a problem at all. loading is bi-directional unlike 334. furthermore 225 uses DDs and nobody complains
901 - ditto for 900. most boarding and alighting activites occur around the looping point. massive bi-directional loadings in the morning.
903 - could definitely use DDs. a 'pump and dump' svc (load peaks even before leaving WRI, pax level slowly drops till CIQ, then at least fully seated again till WRI even more so with students.
911 - ah, my home route. definitely needs DDs, it sucks having to stand in bendies which are at 100% capacity. i'd personally go to the upper deck since i live near the looping point.
912 - needs DDs, long enough for DDs, crowded enough for DDs, massive bi-directional loads all day, no excuses. the 291 of woodlands, if i must.
913 - this may be be slightly thorny as most of the passenger loads board and alight at admiralty mrt and it isnt too far from the looping point. i dont forsee any problems for the ciq side of the route. but other than that, DDs should have no problems on 913.
these are my opinions formed over my lifetime of living in woodlands.
Actually those short haul can be extend for another 1-2km..

Thanks for posting your experience. Let's see what TIB501D has to say to this. He lives in Bukit Merah but comments as if he travels daily in WDL. I am sure he will come up with some illogical and immature explaination.
huh?
Bukit Merah is full of DDs

Exactly, but he keeps crying about bendies in Woodlands all the time.

i wished 851 can have DDs
but
i don't want DDs being toppled over from excessive speedings
