If the frequency of Svc 43 was adjusted to, lets say every 6 minutes. That way everyone will be taking 43 and not 70. 70 will be operating at a loss and SBS can't withdraw that bus due to its links to Shenton Way. If more SDs are deployed, svc 43 will be an SBS version of 190 during peak hour. Even after peak its still full. The reason for deploying DDs from Punggol to UEC Ter is because the load from Paya Lebar MRT to Parkway Parade is almost the same as the load from nex to Buangkok Green. You try waiting at Paya Lebar MRT bus stop on a Sunday. When 43 comes, everyone takes it. Even if there was a 76 behind, no one boards it
You really sure 43 during peak hour is SMRT's 190?
Bro, you do really need to ride on 190 before whacking any nonsense. 190, in my word, fills up COMPLETELY to the BRIM even a full, long bendy after the second stop after going out from CCK int. The berth of 190 is just too small for the queue. Anytime a MRT comes - you know the drill. CHIONG FOR THE BERTH - the 190 berth immediately forms a ''S'' shape in a matter of minutes. So please think carefully or ride it.

190's demand is 1000000x higher than svc 43.

With DTL coming, the load on 190 won't be affected too much. It is a super fast service into CBD. All those who have to take a LRT and change to DTL, will still prefer to take 190 direct route.
Right now 190 gets full at CCK itself even before it reached BPJ. Once, a bit of the load reduces, people in BPJ road will also be able to board 190 with a seat. DDs / bendies are needed on this route now and even in future.

Nothing can beat 190's loading. I know people give up 190 and take Green line and then move to Red line because the bus journey is so uncomfortable with such high loading.
Why are LO2x (non-AC) still operating on 254, 255 and 257 when there are so many new B9TLs spare????

But no svc860, bsep, frequencies did not change in 43, 920 and 922, very outdated... Think they should release the guide a little later, when svc860 is introduced 2 weeks after...
There are many other errors in the guides.

If i live near LRT Stations, i prefer take DTL, its faster. Can avoid traffic jams at expressway. ![]()

Those NAC VO2X are much better than Wrights...![]()
NAC VO2x are better cause the engine is stress free from aircon compressors

Ask you, do you stay around this route or anywhere near it?!? i can safely CONFIRM heavy loading from BKK MRT to Nex, vice versa and tts it
More so during peak hours...
Your logic doesn seem to have any logic and comparison with 70/70M is rather weak...
sv43 after PEAK IS NOT FULL, you see the almost empty buses runnin got UEC evday during morning peak[from parkway onwards] and off peak morning?! IT IS A TOTAL WASTE of fuel and capacity
Fyi, the load from PYL to Parkway Parade does not depend on sv43 having DDs, prior to sv43 introduction, sv135, 76,197 have been taking the loads for this short sector.
Your logic that sv43 comes and everyone boards ignoring sv76 is unsubstantiated and assumed.
Last but not least, you compare sv43 to sv190 shows you are out of sync with bus operations and loads.
sv43 load is light years away from sv190
ignorance is not always bliss...

SMRTB??? Forget it.
It's better that they concentrate on Northern services only.

Actually, if you look at it...
sv190,960 split half SBST/SMRT commuters benefit...
SMRT could take half of sv147,sv154 in return

SMRT can't even manage one 190 well. No point that they operate other services with heavy demand. 147 and 154 will be total disaster if SMRT takes half of them.
It would be better that SBST introduce a parallel service with 190 to reduce 190 load. Or SBST takes over 190 while SMRT amend 700 to be almost parallel to 190.
Actually SBST need 1 svc from Bukit Batok int via Bpj to New bridge Rd

Yeah. And I wonder why it isn't under BSEP and it still has tons of useless rigids in it ![]()

Maybe cause of the DTL?And some Premium svc run parallel?Or it is one way packed service?

147 and 154 not even full fleet DD..![]()
Originally posted by TIB1218R:147 and 154 not even full fleet DD..
Well 147 has 27 DDs, and only 5 SDs. 154 does not need to be full fleet DD. Existing # of DDs is good enough.
The services I would handover:
SBST --> SMRT = 66, 160, 170
SMRT --> SBST = 106, 188, 190
